Wiechers Eliminated by Steenkamp
Niveau 1
: Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
With 5,500 in the middle to the J♦6♣5♥ flop, it checked to Nico Wiechers who bet 3,000 from an early position. Jonathan Hoal called on the button and Dirk Steenkamp check-raised to 9,000. Wiechers then moved all-in and Hoal folded.
"Oh Nico, you have a set?" Steenkamp sighed, then declared "okay, all in call" and pushed forward the chips.
Nico Wiechers: 6♦5♦
Dirk Steenkamp: A♥A♦
"Come on, pair the board!" Steenkamp demanded and his wish was granted on the Q♠ turn and Q♥ river for the first casualty of the day.
