Ivey Loses All In Two Hands

Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Viacheslav Buldygin completed his small blind and Phil Ivey raised it up to 30,000 from the big blind for Buldygin to make the call.

The flop came {8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, Buldygin check-tank-called the 24,000 continuation-bet of Ivey.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and Buldygin checked again. This time, Ivey bet 60,000 for Buldygin to tank again and then call.

The river completed the board with the {k-Diamonds} and Buldygin checked for the final time. Ivey used a time bank card and then shoved with the bigger stack. Buldygin tanked again and then made the call for the 157,000 he had behind with the {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for two pair to double and leave Ivey short with 55,000 as he held the {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}.

On the next hand, Zhuang Ruan raised to 16,000 for Buldygin to make the call from the button. Ivey pushed his last chips over the line from the small blind. The big blind folded and Ruan did the same but Buldygin made the call.
