A new WSOP Circuit Paris ring has been awarded! Out of a field of 270 entrants, Yohan Figueiras ended up as the winner of the €550€ Bounty ITM event. He won the first place-prize of €15,700 and an extra €9,900 in bounties, for a total of €25,600.
Around 100,000 was in the middle on a completed board of Q♠A♠J♠K♣2♥ in a hand between Mathieu Rabalison in the big blind and Fabrice Bigot in early position.
Rabalison checked to Bigot, who moved all in for around 55,000. After around five minutes of thought, Rabalison made the call.
Bigot showed 9♠9♥ for a pair of nines, while Rabalison had K♦Q♦ for two pair kings and queens, sending him a huge pot.
Alexandre Landron moved all in from under the gun for 8,300 and Kostya Zaks three-bet to 15,000. Aurelie Reard took some time to consider her options before moving all in for around 60,000.
Action folded back to Zaks, who took some time to think the position through before moving the rest of his chips into the middle, around 50,000 in total.
Reard's pair of tens were ahead, and remained so after the A♠3♥4♥ flop and 7♦ turn. However the J♥ rolled off on the river to put Landron into the lead with a pair of jacks and hand him a triple up.
Reard had to console herself with winning the more substantial side pot with her pocket tens versus Zaks' king-high, sending him to the rail.
Cedric Ghanassia opened to 2,000 from under the gun and was met with a three-bet to 4,200 from chipleader Jean-Paul Charbit. The small blind cold-called, and Ghanassia also called.
Action was checked to Charbit on the Q♣5♦3♦ flop, who fired out a huge overbet of 225,000. The small blind quickly folded, but Ghanassia, looking perplexed, thought the spot over before moving the rest of his chips, around 65,000, into the middle.
Cedric Ghanassia: K♦Q♥
Jean-Paul Charbit: A♥A♦
Ghanassia's top pair queens had run into Charbit's aces, and he was not saved by the J♠ turn and J♦ river, allowing Charbit to claim another scalp and add to his already huge stack.
In the previous hand Nicolas Tytgat and Jean Koja ended up all-in preflop, both from early position, with both holding ace-king and leading to a chopped pot.
Tytgat opened under the gun to 1,600 in the next hand and received calls from Alexandre Dana on the button and Koja in the big blind.
On the 10♥4♠2♥ flop Koja checked and Tytgat slid out a bet of 2,800. Dana folded and Koja called.
The 5♣ rolled off on the turn, and Koja checked once more. Tytgat pondered the position for a moment, before putting out a bet of 9,000.
Koja glanced at his opponent, before he reached for chips and produced a check-raise to 30,000, with Tytgat's cards hitting the muck almost before Koja's chips were in the middle, sending Koja a nice pot.
On a flop of J♦4♦6♦, Alice Sicconi on the button bet 2,000, but the small blind check-raised to 5,500.
The big blind folded, but Sicconi put two blue chips worth 5,000 each in front of her to raise again. But as she didn't say anything, this action was considered as a call by the dealer, and the tournament director confirmed this decision.
The 4♥ came on the turn, and the small blind checked. Sicconi took this opportunity to bet 8,000 and make her opponent fold. She didn't wait to reveal 10♣7♣ and scooped the pot.
Freddy Krief opened to 1,500 from the cutoff and he was called by Ulysse Harry on the button.
On a flop of A♠4♥9♥, Krief check-raised to 12,500 after Harry bet 1,500. He was called, and he decided to go all-in for 23,500 when the 6♥ turn landed on the felt. Harry snap-called.
Freddy Krief: A♣4♦
Ulysse Harry: K♥Q♥
Krief shoved with two pair, but he ran into Harry's flush and was eliminated after the Q♣ river.
Samuel Fournier opened to 1,200 under the gun and received calls from Marc Sen and Mourad Mezibra in middle position, along with the player in the big blind.
On the 10♥4♥3♠ flop, action was checked to Sen, who slid out a bet of 3,500. Mezibra swiftly raised to 11,300 forcing the big blind and Fournier to fold.
Sen checked his cards before moving the rest of his chips, totaling 14,500, into the middle. Mezibra made the quick call.
Marc Sen: 4♣4♠
Mourad Mezibra: 3♥3♣
Both players had flopped a set but Sen was in great shape with his set of fours, leaving Mezibra drawing to the 3♦, which did not arrived on the 7♠ turn and 2♣ river, sending Sen a double-up.
While Michel Leibgorin is approaching 200,000 chips, Benoit Grobocopatel in the cutoff opened to 1,000. He was called by Aurelie Reard on the button and Thomas "Inaus" Santerne in the big blind.
All three of them checked the 4♦6♥5♦ flop. But after Santerne checked the 9♦ turn, Grobocopatel bet 1,700. Reard folded, but Inaus raised to 6,200.
After a short discussion between both players, Grobocopatel raised to 16,000. Santerne then moved all-in and Grobocopatel called.
Thomas Santerne: 5♥5♣
Benoit Grobocopatel: K♦10♦
Santerne flopped a set, but Grobocopatel hit a flush on the turn. The 8♥ river didn't change anything and Santerne was eliminated. He is on his way to reenter the tournament.
