The board ran out 4♥2♦9♣K♣2♥. Spraggy paired his king on the turn to get ahead and held to win the pot. Rosaman was eliminated from the tournament. Spraggy, meanwhile, chipped up to around 300,000.
Adam McKola raised to 7,000 from under the gun and action folded around to Ryan Otto, who reraised to around 38,000. McKola moved all in with the bigger stack and Otto called. The cards were turned on their backs.

The board ran out Q♠10♦7♣K♣6♣. Otto made a set of queens on the flop, but the turn brought McKola a set of kings. Groans and cheers rang out from the table as McKola scooped the pot. Otto was eliminated from the tournament.
Elliot Hackney raised to 7,000 from late position, Leo Worthington-Leese three-bet to 21,000 from the button, and Hackney called.
The flop came 7♦2♦8♠. Hackney checked, Worthington-Leese bet 14,000 and Hackney called. The turn was the 6♦ and both players checked.
The river came the 6♥. Hackney led out for 25,000 and Worthington-Leese called. Hackney showed 7♠7♥ for a full house, sevens full of sixes. Worthington-Leese mucked his hand and Hackney scooped the pot and chipped up to around 125,000.
Following his huge double of with a set of kings against Ryan Otto's set of queens, Adam McKola won another significant pot with a full house. His opponent had a flush draw, missed it on the river, and bluffed all in.
His opponent was holding J♠2♠ on a board of 6♥K♠6♣5♠7♦. McKola called with 7♠7♣ to win the pot with sevens full of sixes. That brought McKola up to around 550,000, putting him well out in front as the overall chip leader.
Moments after Nick Hicks busted in 25th place, Florian Duta raised to 8,000 from middle position and Richard Chamberlain called on the button. Donald Jones then moved all in from the small blind for 37,000. Duta made the call with the bigger stack and Chamberlain folded. Players flipped their cards.

The board ran out 4♠7♣J♠9♦K♥. Jones was well out in front preflop, but Duta made a pair of sevens on the flop and held to win the pot. Jones was eliminated from the tournament on the bubble.
The rest of the players have made Day 2 and will return already in the money.
Day 1b of the UK and Ireland Poker Tour 2023 Season Finale, running at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham, has now concluded. A total of 154 entries were made; of those, 23 players made it through to Day 2 and into the money.
Adam McKola finished as the chip leader of the flight and the overall chip leader in the tournament so far. McKola has already scored an impressive third place at the UKIPT Brighton earlier in the year and is now in prime position for another solid result. He doubled up late in the day and then won another huge pot in quick succession to bag up 518,000 in chips.
In second place was Brandon Sheils, who has over $1.2 million in live tournament winnings, according to The Hendon Mob. He finished the day with 460,500 chips.
Scott Margereson bagged in third place with 379,000, Danny Pyke finished in fourth place with 370,000, and PokerStars Team Pro player Benjamin Spragg ended the flight in fifth place with 360,500.
