Joyce Takes Over as Chip Leader

Niveau 35 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Philip Joyce made it 900,000 to go on the button and Arian Kashani called.

They went to a flop of 5AQ where Kashani check-called a bet of 550,000 from Joyce to see the 9 drop on the turn. Kashani checked again, Joyce bet 1,800,000, and Kashani called.

A 7 fell on the river where both players checked it down. Kashani showed Q8 for a pair of queens, but Joyce had the winner after he paired his ace with A3.

Joyce Doubles in the First Hand of Heads-Up Play

Niveau 35 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Philip Joyce
Philip Joyce

Philip Joyce limped in from the small blind and Arian Kashani made it 1,700,000 from the big blind. Joyce called.

They went to a flop of 2J8 where Kashani fired 1,100,000, and Joyce called to see the 4 on the turn. Kashani then shoved, and Joyce snap-called for his stack of 6,375,000.

Philip Joyce: J10 All in
Arian Kashani: KQ

Kashani had a chance to win it all in the very first hand of heads-up play! A king, queen, or a diamond would see him claim the title, anything else would earn Joyce a double-up.

The dealer wasted no time in getting on with things, and put out a 6 on the river, which almost evened out the stacks.

Christopher Brammer shoved for 3,275,000 from the button and Philip Joyce called in the big blind.

Christopher Brammer: K7 All in
Philip Joyce: A5

Joyce was a slight favorite and flopped the nuts on the 62Q board to leave Brammer drawing dead. The meaningless 3 turn and A river completed the board, and Brammer was out in third.

Brammer Fades Elimination Again With Second Nuts

Niveau 34 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Christopher Brammer limped in from the small blind and Arian Kashani checked his option in the big blind.

On the 4A5 flop, both checked to see the K on the turn where Brammer check-called a bet of 425,000 from Kashani.

An 8 dropped on the river where Brammer checked again, and Kashani fired 2,300,000. Brammer quickly called.

Kashani then showed the nuts with QJ, and Brammer's J5 went into the muck.

Brammer Avoids Disaster, Kashani Extends Chip Lead

Niveau 34 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Christopher Brammer - Arian Kashani
Christopher Brammer - Arian Kashani

Christopher Brammer made it 600,000 from the button with AK and Arian Kashani three-bet to 1,875,000 from the small blind holding AA. Brammer then took around ninety seconds before he made it 3,300,000, and Kashani rechecked his cards before he called.

On the 109Q flop, Kashani checked it over to Brammer, who checked it back to see the 7 drop on the turn. Kashani checked again, as did Brammer.

A 2 filled out the board and Kashani shoved with his nut flush, and Brammer had no choice but to muck his Big Slick.

He doesn't know it yet, but Brammer will be happy he isn't out of the tournament when he finds out what Kashani had.

Parminder Kandola Eliminated in 4th Place (£69,200)

Niveau 34 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Parminder Kandola
Parminder Kandola

Parminder Kandola shoved for 5,350,000 from under the gun and Arian Kashani snap-called from the big blind.

Parminder Kandola: A8 All in
Arian Kashani: 1010

Kashani had the chance to bring play down to the final three and would do so if his pocket tens held up. Kandola didn't get off to the best start as the 3J3 flop offered no help. A 4 on the turn left Kandola with one more chance at survival, but he couldn't take it as the 5 river meant he was out in fourth.
