Combes Cracks Pearson's Cowboys
Niveau 14
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Robert Davies opened to 6,000 from the hijack and Timothy Slater called from the cutoff before Trevor Pearson three-bet to 14,500 out of the small blind. Charles Combes then shoved from the big blind for 151,000, which got two quick folds out of Davies & Slater, and a snap-call out of Pearson.
Charles Combes: A♥K♠
Trevor Pearson: K♣K♦
Whoever won the pot would leap to the top of the counts, and it was Combes' advantage after the 4♦A♦2♥ flop gave him top pair. Pearson only had one out, but couldn't find it as the 3♠4♠ runout meant his Cowboys went down in flames.
