Klassen Busts in Big Pot

Niveau 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Ricardo Klassen
Ricardo Klassen

Julien Kron made it 18,000 to go on the button and Ricardo Klassen three-bet to 41,000 in the big blind, Kron came along and they headed to the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop. Klassen continued for 35,000 and Kron raised it up to 102,000, which prompted the shove of Klassen for 300,000.

Kron snap-called for a reason and Klassen was in dire shape.

Ricardo Klassen: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Julien Kron: {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

The {5-Hearts} turn and {9-Clubs} river brought no miracle for the Dutchman and he was sent to the rail in the last hand before the dinner break.

Brennan Bad Beats Aantjes

Niveau 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

A short-stacked Cornelis Aantjes had carefully waited for a spot to get his chips in and found it with {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} on the button for the last 72,000. Keith Brennan had raised from the cutoff and called with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}, the board came {Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} to improve Brennan.

Rabany Eliminated

Niveau 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Over on the feature table, Pascal Rabany was all in with the {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and John Farrell had him dominated with the {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. The board came {Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Farrell remained best, even rivered the nut flush for good measure.

Further action ensured on the outer tables. Paul Jux Holderness doubled Peter Cahill for 57,000 with {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} versus {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} after failing to connect with the {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} board.

Last but not least, Markus Heikkila doubled through Julien Kron with {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs} versus {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} when he spiked the overcard on the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{K-Hearts} board.

Dowling Eliminated by Ellis

Niveau 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Chris Dowling
Chris Dowling

The action started with a raise to 17,000 by Joseph Ellis and Thomas Fitzgerald made it 40,000 to go on the button. Chris Dowling four-bet all in for around 180,000 in the big blind and Ellis jammed over the top. Fitzgerald asked for a count, but once it was deemed to be for 275,000, he quickly folded.

Chris Dowling: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Joseph Ellis: {K-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

"Did you fold an ace?" Dowling asked and Fitzgerald shook his head. The board came {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Dowling was sent to the rail.

Glaser Sends Lowe to the Rail

Niveau 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Benny Glaser opened the action with a raise to 17,000 on the button and Jonathan Lowe moved all in from one seat over for 82,000 in the small blind. An instant call of Glaser followed and the cards were on their backs.

Jonathan Lowe: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Benny Glaser: {J-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Glaser showed no reaction on the {J-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop and it wouldn't have been the first time a set of jacks ended up second-best on this very table. Lowe's run definitely came to an end with the {5-Diamonds} turn and the {A-Hearts} river was just a formality.

Roller Coaster for Lowe; Ohman No More

Niveau 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jan Marcus Ohman three-bet for the last 50,000 and Joseph Ellis reluctantly called to turn over {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Ohman was ahead with {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, but that just lasted until the {A-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop. The {J-Hearts} turn and {K-Diamonds} river were blanks and Ohman was eliminated.

One table over, Jonathan Lowe doubled Paul Jux Holderness for 82,000 when he jammed the button with {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. Holderness had {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and the board came {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{A-Spades}.

Lowe doubled his remaining few chips through Henri Koivisto with {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} versus {J-Spades}{9-Hearts}, then lost a flip against an even shorter-stacked Peter Cahill with {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} versus {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}.
