Derwiche's "Gift" Turns into his Reward
Francesco Pillitteri opened to 1,500 from under the gun, Imad Derwiche called in the hijack, and Belmehel Dja Daouadji called in the small blind. In the big blind, Ange Cucchi squeezed to 6,500, Pillitteri folded, and the others called.
Three ways to a 7♣5♣3♣ flop, Dja Daouadji led for 15,000 from the small blind, Cucchi folded, and Derwiche contemplated for a while before he put in the call.
The turn brought the K♣. Dja Daouadji immediately jammed for his remaining 17,600. Derwiche was uncomfortable with the situation but seemed to be leaning towards making the call.
"Do you speak English?" asked Derwiche.
"A gift for you, my friend," continued Derwiche as he tossed calling chips in the direction of Dja Daouadji.

Dja Daouadji had flopped top pair but he was drawing dead against the flush of Derwiche as the French high-roller dragged a massive pot.
