Jake Schindler Eliminated in 4th Place ($110,000)

Jan_Kores • Niveau 21: 20,000-40,000, 30,000 ante
Jake Schindler
Jake Schindler

Hand #67: Jake Schindler open-shoved for 295,000 from the button and Stephen Chidwick quickly called after peeling a monster in the big blind.

Schindler: {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Chidwick: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The {3-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop was unimpressive but the {9-Diamonds} turn gave Schindler an open-ended straight draw while Chidwick had a flush draw. The {3-Hearts} river changed nothing, leaving Schindler beat. Schindler departed in fourth place, taking home $110,000.

Hands #65-66: Tilston Flops Top Two

Jan_Kores • Niveau 21: 20,000-40,000, 30,000 ante

Hand #65: Keith Tilston raised the cutoff with {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and picked up the blinds.

Hand #66: Chidwick found {A-Clubs}{10-Spades} in the first position and min-raised, earning a call from big blind Tilston who had {J-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Tilston flopped top two on the {J-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and let Chidwick continue for 50,000 before check-raising to 150,000. Chidwick called with his backdoor draws.

The {4-Spades} turn, however, locked Tilston the best hand and he fired out 350,000. Chidwick finally laid his hand down.

Hands #63-64: Tilston Gets Some From Chidwick

Jan_Kores • Niveau 20: 15,000-30,000, 30,000 ante

Hand #63: Keith Tilston limped the small blind with {K-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Stephen Chidwick checked his {K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Both players paired their kickers on the {6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop but no bets were made. The {A-Diamonds} turn saw Tilston lead out 35,000 and Chidwick called. Tilston improved into trips on the {6-Clubs} river and continued for 55,000. Chidwick called instantly.

Hand #64: Chidwick limped {Q-Diamonds}{4-Spades} from the small blind and Daniel Negreanu checked with {Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}. Negreanu tried to steal the pot on the {4-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, betting 30,000 in position. Chidwick, however, check-raised to 90,000 and Negreanu gave up.

Hands #58-62: Negreanu Gets an Eye-Roll from Schindler

[user339872] • Niveau 20: 15,000-30,000, 30,000 ante

Hand #58: Jake Schindler limped in from the small blind with {6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Keith Tilston checked his big blind holding {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. The flop came {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Schindler took a stab with a bet of 30,000. Tilston gave his hand up and Schindler got it through.

Hand #59: Daniel Negreanu opened to 60,000 in the cutoff with {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Stephen Chidwick three-bet from the big blind with {a-Hearts}{2-Spades}. Negreanu folded and Chidwick got the best hand to fold.

Hand #60: Schindler raised to 60,000 with {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} in the cutoff and Negreanu defended his big blind with {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. The flop came {10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Spades} and Negreanu check-called a bet of 60,000 from Schindler. The turn brought the {4-Clubs} and Negreanu checked again after picking up a flush draw. Schindler checked back and Negreanu hit the {7-Hearts} on the river to make the best hand. He led out for 75,000 and Schindler rolled his eyes before tossing in a time extension. Schindler paid off the bet and Negreanu tabled the best hand.

Hand #61: Tilston raised to 75,000 from the cutoff with {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} but could not pick up any customers.

Hand #62: Chidwick bumped it up to 60,000 from the cutoff with {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Tilston called with {k-Spades}{2-Hearts} in the big blind. The flop came {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Tilston checked to Chidwick who continued for 40,000. Tilston quickly sent his cards to the muck and Chidwick earned himself a pot.

Hands #53-57: Chidwick Rides a Roller Coaster

Jan_Kores • Niveau 20: 15,000-30,000, 30,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Hand #53: Stephen Chidwick was on the button and opened the action with a 60,000 raise, holding {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Jake Schindler called from the big blind with {K-Spades}{8-Clubs}. Schindler checked the {5-Spades}{J-Clubs}{A-Clubs} flop and Chidwick priced his nut-flush draw at 90,000. Schindler escaped.

Hand #54: This time Daniel Negreanu kicked off the action with a 60,000 button-raise with {K-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Keith Tilston had {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} in the big blind and shoved on Negreanu, who immediately released his hand.

Hand #55: Schindler raised the button to 75,000 with {K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and big blind Chidwick accepted the bet with {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}. The {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} flop hid the table and Chidwick check-called another 75,000.

The {2-Spades} turn card brought two quick checks and the {7-Spades} landed on the river. Chidwick went for a thin value, betting 50,000. Schindler, however, had different plans with his king-high as he jammed for 865,000 effective. Chidwick called after 50 seconds and claim the giant pot to soar over 2 million.

Hand #56: Schindler raised to 60,000 with {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} and small blind Chidwick put in a pile of orange chips worth 100,000 apiece, covering both Negreanu and Schindler. Negreanu called from the big while Schindler backed off.

Negreanu: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Chidwick: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The {Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{K-Spades} board was all but dramatic as Negreanu locked the double already on the turn. Chidwick sent him 640,000 and immediately lost the chip lead he'd earned in the previous hand.

Hand #57: Chidwick raised the button with pocket sixes and took down the pot preflop.

Hands #48-52: Negreanu on the Short Stack

[user339872] • Niveau 19: 10,000-25,000, 25,000 ante

Hand #48: Keith Tilston raised to 60,000 on the button with {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Stephen Chidwick pushed all in for 320,000 in the small blind with the {a-Diamonds} in his hand. Tilston quickly mucked his nine-high and Chidwick picked up the pot.

Hand #49: Tilston opened again to 60,000 with {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and Schindler defended his big blind with {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. The {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop hit both players and Schindler started with a check. Tilston bet 40,000 with his flush draw and Schindler called with top pair. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {10-Hearts} on the river. Schindler led out for 150,000 and Tilston folded after the board bricked off.

Hand #50: Chidwick limped in from under the gun with {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and that invited Daniel Negreanu to do the same with {q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} on the button. Schindler completed his small blind with {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Tilston checked his {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. The flop of {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} missed everyone but Chidwick took the initiative in the pot with a bet of 30,000 which induced folds from the rest of the table.

Hand #51: Negreanu raised to 60,000 in the cutoff with {j-Spades}{9-Spades} and Schindler three-bet to 180,000 on the button with {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. The blinds folded and Negreanu made the call to go heads-up to a flop of {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Negreanu checked to Schindler who bet 160,000 which Negreanu called. The turn was the {a-Diamonds} and Negreanu checked again. Schindler improved to aces and nines and fired another 280,000. Negreanu announced a fold and Schindler picked up a healthy pot.

Hand #52: The action folded around to Chidwick's small blind who limped in with {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. Negreanu checked his {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and the flop came {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Chidwick led out for 25,000 and Negreanu raised to 100,000 with just six-high. Chidwick called with his pair of jacks and the {6-Hearts} hit the turn. Both players checked and the {j-Hearts} rolled off on the river. Chidwick announced a sizeable bet of 320,000 and Negreanu paid him off, dipping down to the short stack.

Hands #44-47: Chidwick Hits Downhill

Jan_Kores • Niveau 19: 10,000-25,000, 25,000 ante

Hand #44: Jake Schindler raised to 50,000 with {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and Stephen Chidwick picked up {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} on the button. Chidwick flatted and they went to the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} flop. Schindler opted to check his open-ended straight draw and Chidwick checked back. The {8-Diamonds} hit the turn and Schindler placed in a delayed continuation bet worth 90,000. Chidwick called. The river bricked with the {5-Clubs} and Schindler stepped on the gas, betting 240,000. That was enough to convince Chidwick to fold the best hand.

Hand #45: Keith Tilston ({A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}) made it 60,000 and small blind Daniel Negreanu ({K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}) three-bet to 225,000. Tilston wasn't interested in battling against the second-biggest stack and let it go.

Hand #46: Chidwick found {K-Spades}{J-Spades} and raised to 50,000. Tilston called from the big blind with {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}. The {J-Hearts}{8-Spades}{A-Diamonds} flop brought a check from Tilston and Chidwick kept his bettling lead, continuing for 75,000. Tilston smooth-called.

The {8-Hearts} turn paired the board and Tilston checked again. Chidwick also repeated his move from the previous street, firing 75,000 again. Tilston had no problem, calling.

Tilston checked the {A-Hearts} river and Chidwick quickly checked back, prompting a showdown from Tilston who turned up his full house.

Hand #47: Schindler opened the button to 60,000 with a pair of jacks, earning a call from big blind Chidwick who had {9-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Both players checked the flop and turn of the {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{A-Spades} board and Chidwick tapped the river as well. Schindler then bet out 100,000 but Chidwick wasn't willing to match his bid.

Brent Hanks Eliminated in 5th Place ($88,000)

[user339872] • Niveau 19: 10,000-25,000, 25,000 ante
Brent Hanks
Brent Hanks

Hand #43: Stephen Chidwick moved all in with {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} in the small blind and Brent Hanks snapped him off for his last 250,000 with {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} in the big blind.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Hanks picked up some outs to counterfeit Chidwick. However, the {2-Diamonds} on the turn gave Chidwick a full house and Hanks was drawing dead to the {10-Spades} on the river. Hanks exited the tournament in fifth place but will stake home $88,000 for his efforts.
