A Couple All-ins

Niveau 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Dan Shak opened to 15,000 from the cutoff and Brian Rast moved all in for 73,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Shak quickly made the call. Shak held {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} against Rast's {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. The flop came {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Shak instantly jumped out front with a pair of kings. The {10-Hearts} on the turn and the {j-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing as Rast was eliminated.

On the next table over, Bryn Kenney limped in from the small blind and Erik Seidel raised to 28,000 in the big blind. Kenney shoved all in for his short stack of 125,000 and Seidel looked him up. Kenney was in a dominating position with {a-Spades}{10-Spades} against the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} of Seidel. The board ran out {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{a-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Seidel was drawing dead by the turn.
