Tilston Doubles Through Woods

Niveau 8 : 2,000/4,000, 3,000 ante

With about 80,000 in the pot and a board reading {6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs}, Keith Tilston moved all in and was put at risk by Barry Woods.

Keith Tilston: {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Barry Woods: {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Tilston had flopped a straight leaving Woods drawing to just a chop. The {a-Diamonds} completed the board and secured the double for Tilston.

Hearts, Hearts, and More Hearts

Niveau 8 : 2,000/4,000, 3,000 ante

At one table, Andy Leathem and Sean Winter were heads-up on a flop reading {10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Both players checked and the {q-Hearts} hit the turn. Leathem led out for 17,000 into a pot of around 45,000 from the small blind. Winter made the call on the button and the {a-Hearts} put four hearts on the board. Leathem fired another 26,000 and Winter laid his hand down.

Next table over, Justin Bonomo opened to 9,000 from the cutoff and was called by Jake Schindler on the button. Keith Tilston was in the small blind and pushed all in for 64,000. Erik Seidel folded the big blind and the action was back on Bonomo. He re-shoved all in over the top and Schindler thought for a moment before mucking his cards.

Justin Bonomo: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Keith Tilston: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Bonomo was in a dominating position but when the flop fell {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, it was Tilston who paired his king to take the lead. Bonomo did have the only heart in his hand but the {4-Spades} on the turn was of no use. However, the {5-Hearts} landed on the river and Bonomo four-flushed to eliminated Tilston.

Hyman Eliminates Berg

Niveau 7 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Matt Hyman
Matt Hyman

A string of preflop bets between Elijah Berg on the button and Matt Hyman in the small blind saw Berg all in and at risk.

Elijah Berg: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Matt Hyman: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

A race was underway and Berg's torch was all but snuffed on a {6-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop. Hyman had flopped a set and improved to a full house when the {10-Spades} hit the turn. Berg was drawing dead and the {7-Hearts} on the river sealed the USPO #06 finalists fate as he departed from the table.

Bonomo Keeps Betting

Niveau 7 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

With around 20,000 in the middle, the dealer fanned the flop of {j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Keith Tilston checked from the big blind and Justin Bonomo bet 12,000 on the button. Tilston made the call and the {q-Spades} landed on the turn.

Tilston checked one more time and Bonomo continued with his story, betting another 30,000. Tilston used up all 30 seconds before releasing his cards to the muck.

Quads for Peters

Niveau 7 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

David Peters opened from under the gun and Dan Smith piled his last 55,000 chips in the middle from the big blind. Peters made the call and it was a race.

Peters tabled {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Smith held the two overcards with {A-}{9-}. The flop came {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Peters made a set of eights to take a commanding lead. The dealer burned and turned the {8-Clubs} and Peters improved to quads, leaving Smith drawing dead.
