Hands #13-17: Tilston Still Climbing

Niveau 14 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Hand 13: Tom Marchese opened with the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} on the button and Daniel Negreanu defended with the {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Negreanu checked a {k-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop and raised a bet of 15,000 from Marchese to 55,000 and took down the pot.

Hand 14: Marchese opened again, this time with the {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Negreanu looked him up once more, holding the {j-Spades}{10-Spades}. The flop came down {3-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and both players checked to see the {6-Hearts} on the turn.

Both checked once more and the {a-Clubs} hit the river. Two more checks sent the pot to Marchese with his fives.

Hand 15: Jake Schindler picked up the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and limped from the small blind. Tom Marchese checked in the big blind and Schindler won the pot with a bet on the flop.

Hand 16: Negreanu raised it up with the {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts} on the button and Schindler called in the small blind with the {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. A {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{j-Diamonds} flop was dealt and both players checked to see the {4-Diamonds} on the turn.

Another two checks brought the {a-Spades} on the river and Negreanu check-folded to a bet of 60,000 from Schindler.

Hand 17: Tilston bumped it up to 45,000 in the small blind with the {q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Negreanu defended holding the {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. A {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop fanned out and Tilston check-called a bet of 25,000 from Negreanu.

Tilston checked again when the {a-Diamonds} hit the turn and a check from Negreanu as well introduced the {9-Diamonds} on the river. Both players checked again and Tilston's pair of fours was best.
