Loeser vs. Katz

Niveau 20 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

In the last hand of the level, Manig Loeser limped the cutoff with the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Cary Katz did the same from the button with {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. Jordan Cristos checked his option holding the {9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} in the big blind and it was three-way action to the {4-Spades}{8-Spades}{j-Hearts} flop.

Cristos checked, Loeser bet 170,000, and Katz called. Cristos got out of the way and then action went check-check on both the {5-Clubs} turn and {Q-Spades} river. Loeser tabled queens and jacks to win the pot.

First Pot to Cristos

Niveau 20 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

In the first hand of the day, chip leader Jordan Cristos raised to 175,000 holding the {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds} on the button and Martin Zamani called from the small blind with the {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

Both players then checked it down as the board ran out {q-Clubs}{a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Cristos took it down with aces and sevens.

Cristos then won the next hand with a simple raise and take it.

Who Will Take Down the USPO Event #2: $10,000 PLO Title? Live stream at at 2:00 p.m. PT / 5:00 p.m. ET.

A total of 64 entrants came out for Event #2: $10,000 PLO at the US Poker Open, but today only six will return to the live streamed final table.

Leading the way is Jordan Cristos who begins today with 2,445,000 chips, almost a million more than his nearest competitor Cary Katz. Cristos is locking up his second cash of the series so far after taking 11th in Event #1: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em.

Others at the final table are Adam Hendrix, Martin Zamani, Manig Loeser and Sean Winter. Winter is making his second final table of the series after finishing runner-up to Stephen Chidwick last night in Event #1: $10,000 NLH. With a fourth-place finish or better, Winter will take over the points lead for the series, putting him in the prime position to collect the $100,000 prize. A fifth-place finish would tie him with Chidwick, though this early in the series it's still really anyone's game.

Currently, all players left alive are guaranteed at least $38,400 but everyone is fighting for the first place prize of $179,200. Action will kick back off at 1 p.m. local time with the live stream starting an hour after that. PokerNews will be offering updates off that stream right here, so be sure to stay tuned!
