Katz Dusts Off Perry

Niveau 2
Sean Perry
Sean Perry

Sean Perry opened to 20,000 and Cary Katz called on the button.

The flop was {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Perry moved all in for right around 80,000. Katz called with a slightly covering stack.

Sean Perry: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}
Cary Katz: {8-Spades}{6-Spades}

"Wow," Perry said. "I'm already drawing dead."

"No you're not," Katz said as the {Q-Diamonds} came off on the turn. "Now you are."

The river was the {J-Hearts} and that was it for Perry who headed to the cage to re-enter.

Event #4: $10,000 Short Deck Kicks Off at 2 p.m. PST

US Poker Open Trophy
US Poker Open Trophy

Welcome to the fourth day of the U.S Poker Open at the PokerGO Studio just outside of the ARIA Resort & Casino. Event #4: $10,000 Short Deck is on the agenda today and will be the first time that this variation of poker is played at the USPO.

The fast-paced, high action style game will be sure to attract some of the best and biggest gamblers in the world, who will all be gunning to take down the first Short Deck event in USPO history.

All players looking to take down the championship of this year will have to catch up to the likes of Stephen Chidwick and Sean Winter. Both are currently set to battle it out as the top two chip stacks in the finale table of Event #3: $10,000. This is Winter's third final, having made the final day on all events thus far. Chidwick is appearing at his second, but unlike Winter, has taken down an event already in this series.
