Chidwick vs. Katz Blind on Blind

Niveau 20 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

On a {7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{k-Spades} flop, Stephen Chidwick bet 100,000 from the small blind and called when Cary Katz raised to 245,000 from the big.

Both players checked the {10-Diamonds} turn and the {K-Clubs} completed the board on the river. Chidwick bet 220,000 and Katz raised to 475,000. Chidwick folded hs {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Spades} straight and it was a good thing he did as Katz had rivered a full house with his {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}.

Ben Lamb Eliminated in 4th Place ($97,500)

Ben Lamb - 4th Place
Ben Lamb - 4th Place

Cary Katz was on the button with {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Ben Lamb in the small blind with {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} when the duo saw a flop of {5-Clubs}{a-Spades}{8-Spades}.

Lamb led out for 200,000 with his wrap and Katz, who flopped two pair, raised it. Lamb called off and a 1.1 million pot was on the line.

"Pair the board," Katz requested. The dealer obliged and put out the {5-Hearts} on the turn. The {8-Hearts} river paired it again and Katz improved to a full house to dispatch Lamb in fourth place.

Cary Katz, who recently took over the chip lead from Stephen Chidwick, limped with the {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{q-Spades}{6-Spades} and called when Tom Marchese raised to 240,000 holding {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Spades} in the small blind.

When the flop fell {9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, Marchese bet he 600,000 pot and left himself 240,000 behind, which he called when Katz raised it.

The {2-Clubs} turn gave Katz a flush and left Marchese drawing dead. The meaningless {6-Clubs} was run out on the river and Marchese headed to the rail.

The final two players are now on a short break while the staff gets set up for heads-up play.
