Big Slick Does the Trick for Koon

Niveau 16 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

In the hand after Sean Winter busted, Jason Koon moved all in for 300,000 on the button and Keith Tilston called from the small blind. Chris Hunichen then folded pocket fives face up from the big.

Tilston: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Koon: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

It was a flip but Koon needed to improve to stay alive. He didn't do it on the {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} flop nor {5-Hearts} turn, a card that would've given Hunichen a full house.

Fortunately for Koon, the {a-Spades} spiked on the river to give him the winner and new life.

Winter's USPO Fate is Now Out of His Hands

Niveau 16 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Sean Winter
Sean Winter

Sean Winter moved all in for 255,000 from early position and Keith Tilston looked him up from the big blind.

Winter: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Tilston: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

The {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop gave Tilston an open-ended straight draw, which he hit when the dealer burned and turned the {8-Clubs}. However, the same card gave Winter a flush draw. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {3-Hearts}.

Winter missed to bust in eighth place, and that means his fate is now in the hands if David Peters. If Peters wins the Main Event, he will take down the overall 2019 USPO championship, if not, then it belongs to Winter. The sweat is on.

Sixes Aplenty

Niveau 16 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Action folded to Martin Zamani in the small blind and he limped with the {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. David Peters checked his option holding the {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and then both players checked the {6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{k-Clubs} flop.

The case {6-Diamonds} spiked on the turn and Zamani bet 40,000. Peters just called and the {10-Clubs} completed the board on the river.

Zamani bet again, this time 145,000, and Peters burned a time extension before raising to 395,000, which left him just 5,000 back. Zamani called and discovered he had a kicker problem.

Schulman's USPO Comes to an Unceremonious End

Niveau 15 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Nick Schulman
Nick Schulman

Chris Hunichen raised to 35,000 from the hijack and Nick Schulman defended his big blind to see a {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop.

Schulman checked, Hunichen bet 25,000, and Schulman check-raised all in for 115,000. Hunichen called and the hands were turned up.

Hunichen: {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Schulman: {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Schulman went with his flush draw but missed it as the {5-Hearts} bricked the turn followed by the {6-Hearts} on the river.

With that, Sean Winter just needs to cash to lock up the 2019 USPO Championship regardless of where David Peters finishes. If Winter doesn't cash then Peters can take it with a win in the Main Event.

The Ladies Love Riess

Niveau 15 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Justin Bonomo opened for 35,000 from middle position with the {a-Spades}{5-Spades} and Sean Winter three-bet to 105,000 holding the {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} on the button. Ryan Riess then four-bet jammed for 250,000 from the small blind with the {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}, Bonomo got out of the way and Riess was looking to hold.

That's just what he did as the board ran out {10-Spades}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} to give him a turned boat and the guaranteed win.
