Markachev Waves the White Flag
Niveau 39
: Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Timothe Labassa raised from under the gun and Anton Markachev defended, in the big blind.
The 5♦7♥K♥ flop saw Markachev play in flow. Labassa continued for 450,000 and Markachev check-raised, making it 1,200,000 to go. Labassa called.
The Q♠ turn saw Markachev size up to 2,200,000. Labassa was undeterred.
The 2♠ slowly checked to a showdown. Markachev was obliged to show first but chose to instantly muck his cards. Labassa tabled Q♦J♦ for second pair, winning him this massive pot.
