On the 2 turn, Latinois led out for 3,000. Koloszar called to find the 9 river. Latinois checked, then went deep into the tank after Koloszar bet 19,200. He eventually folded.

Lopes Calls the River with Four-High

Niveau 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Julien Sitbon raised from the button, receiving calls from Mantas Petrauskas and Bruno Lopes, in the respective blinds.

The Q108 flop checked through to the 7 turn and the 6 river. Petrauskas elected to take the lead for 3,000, Lopes called and Sitbon made a quick fold.

Petrauskas showed A5 for ace-high, while Lopes slammed down 43 onto the felt. While Petrauskas' ace-high may have been the best hand, Lopes was quick to inform the table that he thought he was holding five-four, which would have been a straight.

Sitbon told Petrauskas that he was bluffing with the best hand.

"Value bet," Petrauskas jokingly corrected Sitbon.

Flashback: Martin Bartos Wins 2023 Winamax Poker Open Bratislava Main Event

Niveau 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Martin Bartos
Martin Bartos

Last year in Bratislava, Martin Bartos bested a huge field of 1,577 entrants to take home the trophy, title and €100,000.

Over a total of five starting flights, only 271 players were lucky enough to return to the tournament floor for Day 2. After an additional 18 levels of play, just 13 remained to battle it out on the felt on the final day. Despite such fierce competition, it was Bartos who took pole position as the dust settled.

Having drawn one of the toughest final tables in WPO Main Event History, Bartos was quick to commend some of the seasoned opponents he faced: “Because the final table, it was definitely tough. Very good players, very good players. I think for a €500 tournament, [there were] very, very good players. In Slovakia, the best €500 Final Table for sure. Too many celebrities! It was perfect”.
