Marcel Schoonbroodt raised to 3,000 from the cutoff, receiving calls from both the blinds.
The A♦J♥7♣ flop saw all three players check to the 4♣ on the turn. The small blind checked again and Roland Pardoux, in the big blind, took the lead with a bet of 2,500. Schoonbroodt called and the small blind folded.
The Q♣ river prompted a check from Pardoux. Schoonbroodt retook the lead with a bet of 7,200 and Pardoux was forced to fold.
In the 858th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, which is sponsored by WPT Global, Chad Holloway and Mike Holtz are joined by World Poker Tour (WPT) President Adam Pliska at Level 9 Studio in Las Vegas to talk about the WPT World Championship, which isn't featuring a guarantee this year but instead is offering players the opportunity at a $5,000,000 Freeroll, the largest freeroll in poker history! Pliska shares how players can enter for a chance at one of 2,000 seats, plus elaborates on whether or not we might see another WPT Voyage.
Speaking of the WPT, they just wrapped up a stop in Australia that poker pro James Obst won, and you can't talk about the "Land Down Under" without mentioning the WPT's Lynn Gilmartin. Plus, hear about highlights from the WPT Foundation Russell Westbrook's 4th Annual Poker Night, remembering Mike Sexton on what would have been his 77th birthday, and a preview of upcoming WPT stops (Chad will be at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal at the end of October).
Finally, Chad and Mike, a two-time online player of the year, talk about the bombshell article on Bloomberg exposing a Russian poker bot farm and the ramifications it could have on the industry. Learn about those stories and more in the latest episode of the PokerNews Podcast.

On the feature table, Peter Horkay opened to 3,000 from under the gun and he was called by the cutoff. Adrian Mateos on the button three-bet to 12,000, then Hooray four-bet all-in for 33,500. He made the cutoff fold, but Mateos snap-called.
Peter Horkay: K♥Q♥
Adrian Mateos: A♠Q♣
Horkay found a flush draw with the J♠5♥9♥ flop, but the 2♣2♦ runout didn't complete his flush and he was eliminated.
Davidi Kitai raised to 3,800 from under the gun, leaving himself 6,000 behind the line. Nicolas Plantin, in the cutoff, moved all in for 35,800 and Kitai called off the bet for his tournament life.
Davidi Kitai: K♣8♠
Nicolas Plantin: 10♥10♠
The 6♦6♥Q♦ flop was a safe one for Plantin, however, the K♠ turn propelled Kitai into the lead. The 4♥ river confirmed Kitai's double.
The pot stood at 25,000 with two players looking at a board of 10♥4♠2♠5♣.
Alexandre Guerlais, in the big blind, bet out 11,000. Mickael Botzer, on the button, responded with a raise, moving all in for Guerlais' effective stack of 34,000. Guerlais made a frustrated fold.
The action was caught as Martynas Brazdzionis, in the big blind, was all in and at risk for his effective stack of approximately 20,000, against Eden Elbaz, on the button.
Martynas Brazdzionis: K♣Q♠
Eden Elbaz: Q♦J♦
Brazdzionis had Elbaz dominated, however, the J♣6♥J♥ flop reversed their fates. The 3♠ turn and A♣ river saw Elbaz's trips best and Brazdzionis was sent to the rail.
Christopher Marcadet opened to 4,100 from the hijack and faced Mohamed Aissaoui on the button and David Paturel in the big blind.
After Marcadet continued for 5,000 on K♥10♦10♥, both Aissaoui and Paturel called. But on the 4♥ turn, all three of them checked.
On the 9♦ river, Paturel checked again, Marcadet bet 6,800 and he was called by Aissaoui and Paturel. However Marcadet with A♦10♠ had the best hand, as Aissaoui and Paturel sent their cards into the muck.
