WSOP officials announced the “WSOP Paradise Parlay” by GGPoker, which is a chance for players that cashed in the 2023 WSOP to parlay their summer success into additional cash during 2023 WSOP Paradise.
It’s very simple – if a player earns 10 cashes between the two series, they will receive $5,000; if they make three final tables, they’ll get $25,000; and if they capture two bracelets, well then a hefty $100,000 additional prize awaits!
Support for the WSOP’s new promotion was overwhelmingly positive.
Players have been sent on a 60-minute dinner break and action will pick back up at approximately 9:44 p.m. local time.
The clocks show 147 players remaining and late registration will remain open until the start of Level 10.
Jean-Pierre van der Spuy opened to 18,000 on the button and Rodrigo Selouan and David Peters both called in the blinds.
Selouan and Peters checked on the flop of 3♣K♣7♥ and van der Spuy continued for 26,000. Only Selouan called. Selouan check-called again on the J♦ turn as van der Spuy sized down to 25,000.
Selouan checked once more on the 8♥ river and van der Spuy bet 75,000. Selouan quickly folded and told his opponent he had A♣4♣.

Action was heads up with nearly 300,000 in the middle and Q♣J♦7♦8♣ on the board when both Stephen Song and Jose Rodriguez Zurita checked to see the river. The river was 8♥ and Song bet 70,000. That was too much and Zurita got away from it.
Song looks to continue his red-hot run, which includes two WSOP Circuit wins at the most recent stop at Harrah's Cherokee in North Carolina.
