Michael Acevedo opened to 800,000 from the button and Dan Stavila three-bet to 2,200,000 from the small blind. Acevedo moved all in and Stavila, who was slightly covered, made the call to put himself at risk.
Dan Stavila: A♥Q♥
Michael Acevedo: A♠K♠
The board ran out 7♥8♦5♦9♦5♠. Acevedo held with the bigger ace to scoop a colossal pot while Stavila, who started the day as chip leader, was sent to the rail a few spots shy of the final table.
Rene Majed jammed for 2,825,000 from under the gun and saw a quick call come from Emmanouil Fountoulakis to his direct left. Action folded to Seyoon Lim who paused for a moment before moving all in himself. With action back on Fountoulakis, he opted to make the call to set up a three-way runout with both Majed and Lim at risk.
In a massive three-way confrontation, the board ran out 6♠8♠J♣J♠7♣ to secure the huge pot for Lim as Majed was left to exit the tournament area in 12th place for $17,400.
In a preflop confrontation Emmanouil Fountoulakis found himself all in from the button for roughly 5,500,000 against Ami Barer in the small blind who held a covering stack.
Emmanouil Fountoulakis: A♦5♣
Ami Barer: A♥J♦
Barer was ahead with a bigger ace and remained so on the K♣10♥8♥2♥8♣ runout to send Fountoulakis to the rail and continue to accumulate chips.
Jackson Santos opened to 1,000,000 from early position and Nazar Buhaiov three-bet to 2,500,000 from the hijack.
Josef Snejberg then put in a four-bet to 7,500,000 from the cutoff, sending Santos deep into the tank.
Santos considered his options for over three minutes before opting to fold. This time it was Buhaiov's turn in the tank. Buhaiov thought about his decision for an additional five minutes, occasionally sneaking a quick peek at his hole cards. Eventually another player called the clock and shortly afterwards Buhaiov five-bet shoved for roughly 12,000,000 total. Snejberg, who covered Buhaiov slightly, snap-called to put Buhaiov at risk.
Nazar Buhaiov: A♠K♦
Josef Snejberg: A♥K♥
A chop seemed immenent until the Q♥8♦7♥ flop gave Snejberg a flush draw. Buhaiov dodged a heart on the 7♠ turn but the 5♥ river gave Snejberg the ace-high flush. Buhaiov became the first final table casualty of the day while Snejberg dragged in the largest pot of the tournament so far.
Action folded to Guoliang Wei who jammed for 3,600,000 from middle position and found one caller in Josef Snejberg to his direct left to set up a runout with Wei at risk.
Guoliang Wei: K♠10♥
Josef Snejberg: 9♦9♣
The board ran out 2♦5♥A♣8♠8♥, offering no help to Wei who finished the tournament in ninth place for $27,700.
Josef Snejberg opened to 1,000,000 from under the gun and Liviu Bartha defended from the big blind.
The flop came 6♣5♠4♠. Bartha checked, Snejberg fired a 750,000 continuation bet and Bartha check-raised to 3,000,000, leaving approximately 3,000,000 behind. Snejberg moved all in with a covering stack and Bartha snap-called, putting himself at risk.
Liviu Bartha: 4♣4♦
Josef Snejberg: 6♦6♥
Both players had flopped a set but Snejberg had the best of it with top set in what could only be described as a brutal cooler. Bartha was left drawing to one out and couldn't find the case four on the K♣ turn or 7♠ river, resulting in his elimination while Snejberg continued to dominate the final table.
In a hand with a dead small blind, action folded to Yuzhou Yin on the button who jammed for 6,925,000. Josef Snejberg was in the big blind fresh off busting the 10th, ninth and eighth place finishers and entered a short tank before deciding to make the call to put Yin at risk and set up a runout.
Yuzhou Yin: J♠8♠
Josef Snejberg: K♥10♥
The board ran out 3♣9♥5♦A♠6♥, securing yet another elimination for Snejberg as Yin is sent to the rail in seventh place for $46,100.
Jackson Santos opened to 1,200,000 from the cutoff before Josef Snejberg three-bet to 2,800,000 from the button. Ami Barer called off in the small blind for his last 475,000 before Santos made the call as well.
The flop came 10♣5♥2♦ and Santos check-called a 1,600,000 continuation bet from Snejberg.
Santos check-called another bet on the 7♠ turn, this time for 4,700,000.
Both players checked the 9♠ river. Snejberg could only show Q♠J♦ for a total bluff while Barer tabled J♣6♥ for jack-high. Santos showed down 8♠8♦ for just a pair of eights which was good enough to take down a gargantuan pot, close the gap between himself and Snejberg and send Barer to the rail in 6th place.
Action folded to Jackson Santos who raised to 1,600,000 from the cutoff only to see Josef Snejberg come in for a three-bet to 4,600,000. Santos thought briefly before reaching for chips and putting in the call to see the flop come 10♠10♣4♦.
Santos checked it to Snejberg who continued with a bet of 2,200,000. Santos opted to make the call and watch as the J♥ fell on the turn.
Action checked through to the 5♣ river card.
Santos checked it over once more to Snejberg who took a moment before reaching for chips and counting out a bet worth 8,500,000. Santos was not quick to release his hand but he did eventually decide to toss his cards toward the muck and concede what had become quite a big pot to Snejberg without showdown.
