Acevedo Cracks Queens to Double
Niveau 32
: Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Action folded around to Michael Acevedo in the hijack, who moved all in for 1,750,000 after being left short-stacked a few hands earlier. Dan Stavila called in the cutoff with a covering stack and all other players got out of the way leaving Acevedo all in and at risk.
Michael Acevedo: K♥J♦
Dan Stavila:Q♦Q♥
Acevedo was in rough shape against Stavila's queens but he pulled ahead with second pair on the A♦K♦7♦ flop, leaving Stavila drawing to either a queen or a diamond to score the knoockout. The 10♠ turn and 5♠ river were clean for Acevedo who collected a full double up at Stavila's expense.
