Caesars Entertainment has finalized the $500 million sale of the biggest brand in poker to GGPoker's parent company, according to an announcement in late October.
Back in August, Caesars Entertainment shocked the poker world when it announced that it would be selling World Series of Poker (WSOP) to NSUS Group Inc, a leading investment group and operator GGPoker. The deal was solidified Tuesday and includes a $250 million cash transaction and a $250 million promissory note due in five years.
Though the WSOP sale marks a shakeup in the industry, poker players can still expect the summer WSOP to be held in Las Vegas for the next 20 years. Additionally, poker rooms at Caesars properties will continue to feature WSOP branding.

Action folded to Alex Foxen in the cutoff, and he raised to 22,000. It then folded to the big blind Ben Tollerene who three-bet to 98,000. Foxen made the call.
Foxen called a bet from Tollerene for 50,000 after the 2♦K♥6♣ flop, and for 125,000 after the Q♣ on the turn.
The river was the 8♥ and Tollerene bet out 158,000, leaving just 2,000 behind. Foxen sat in the tank using multiple time extensions, before mucking his hand and giving the pot to Tollerene.

With the board reading Q♠9♠3♥2♠, Holz led for 66,000 and Soyza put in the call.
On the 6♥ river, Holz used a time bank before he put out 310,000 into the middle with 1,000 back, and Soyza quickly folded.

Santhosh Suvarna raised to 23,000 in the cutoff and Barak Wisbrod put out a stack of 25,000 denomination chips to put Suvarna all in. Suvarana used a time bank before eventually calling off his remaining 125,000.

The flop came 5♠10♥8♦ with Wisbrod still in the lead. Suvarna picked up additional outs on the 3♦ turn with a wheel draw, but couldn't get there on the 5♥ river.

Action was picked up with Waikiat Lee all in from the button for his stack of 96,000, and Artur Martirosian in the big blind putting him at risk.

Lee had Martirosian dominated with the bigger ace, but the 4♣10♥10♣ gave Martirosian more outs with his flush draw. The 4♥ on the turn brought a likely chop, but the 9♣ on the river gave Martirosian the flush and the pot, knocking out Lee.

Pieter Aerts raised to 21,000 in the hijack, Jean-Noel Thorel called in the small blind, and Punnat Punsri defended in the big blind.
The flop of 8♦9♦5♦ checked through to the J♠ turn. Thorel checked, Punsri bet 25,000, Aerts folded, and Thorel called.
The river brought the K♥ and Thorel checked again. Punsri sized up with a bet of 125,000, resulting in a quick fold from Thorel.
