Kornuth's Slow Play Comes Back to Bite Him
Niveau 17
: Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Fedor Holz raised to 200,000 from under the gun, and Chance Kornuth called in the hijack with A♦A♣. It then folded to Esti Wang in the big blind who also made the call with K♥6♥.
All three players checked the 8♥7♠10♦ flop, which brought the 5♣ on the turn. Wang bet out 350,000, which got Holz to fold, and Kornuth made the call.
The river was the 9♥ and Wang bet out 300,000 with his straight. Kornuth then chose to raise to 1,200,000 with his pocket aces, and Wang called. Kornuth had to toss his aces in the muck as Wang successfully cracked aces to take the pot.
