Roman Milaev opened 200,000 on the button and Justin Saliba jammed 955,000 in the small blind. Milaev went into the tank, using a time bank before deciding on a call.

They were off to the races and Milaev was still out in front on the Q♦Q♥8♦ flop, the 3♦ turn gave Saliba a flush draw to go along with his two live cards and the K♥ river improved him to kings and queens for the double.

With around 800,000 in the pot on a flop of K♥K♣7♣, Jakob Miegel bet 100,000 from the hijack and Alex Lynskey called in middle position.
The turn was the 3♦ and Miegel bet another 275,000. Lynskey again called and the 3♥ fell on the river. Miegel then used one of his time banks before sliding in a bet of 800,000, leaving only a few chips behind. Lynskey snap-folded and Miegel took down the pot.
Seth Davies came into the day as one of the short stacks and moved all in for 360,000 in middle position. Matas Cimbolas called from the hijack and Alex Lynskey three-bet to 1,100,000 on the button. Cimbolas got out of the way and then provided commentary on the showdown.

The flop came Q♣J♠7♠ and Davies' outs turned from three to four as Cimbolas would say. The 10♠ on the turn and the 8♥ on the river were not enough for Davies who was eliminated.
"Enjoy the pool," Cimbolas commented. "It's a nice day out there."
Rokas Asipauskas moved all in for 605,000 in the hijack as action folded to Yahor Dambrouski in the big blind who confirmed the amount before calling to put Asipauskas at risk.

Asipauskas took the lead with two pair on the K♣K♠10♠ flop, while the rest of the board ran out 2♦J♣ to earn him an early double up.
The action folded to Carlos Sanchez Diaz on the button who made it 160,000 to go. Scott Seiver jammed all in for 460,000 in the small blind and Diaz quickly called.

The flop came K♣K♦8♦ to give Seiver a big lead with trip kings. The turn brought the 10♣ and Diaz was left drawing dead to the 7♦ on the river.
Seiver scored a double up in one of the first hands of the day but was moments later seen leaving the tournament room after being eliminated.
The action folded to Robert Haigh on the button who ripped all in for 690,000. Joni Jouhkimainen quickly called from the big blind and put Haigh at risk.

The flop came K♥J♣4♣ and Jouhkimainen picked up a pair of jacks to cement his lead. The turn was the 9♥ to give Haigh some hope but the 5♦ river was not meant to be.
Action folded to Weiran Pu who moved all in for 935,000 in the small blind. Daniel Negreanu was in the big blind and asked for a count before calling.

"Alright, I have two live cards," Negreanu said as the flop came 10♥7♥3♠. The turn was the 6♠ and Negreanu picked up flush and straight draws.
"Five, eight, queen, nine, or spade," Negreanu said, but the river was the anticlimatic 2♦. "Or a deuce. Womp Womp," Negreanu added as he paid off the double up.
Dan Shak shoved his last 330,000 under the gun and Matthias Eibinger made the call from the big blind.

The K♣4♥3♣ flop gave Eibinger two pair to take the lead, the 6♠ turn gave Shak an open-ended straight draw but the 9♥ river meant he was headed to the cage to collect his $50,000 min-cash.
