Moneymaker Calls Down Boeree

Liv Boeree opened to 2,000,000 in early position and Chris Moneymaker made the call in the small blind.

Moneymaker checked the 2♣10♥8♣ flop, with Boeree checking behind to see the 4♠ turn.

Another pair of checks led to the 2♠ river, where Moneymaker tapped the table one last time. Boeree took some time before counting out a bet of 1,300,000.

"I thought we were chopping," said Moneymaker as he considered his next move. "I'm guessing ace-queen or king-queen. Let's see which one it is."

"Neither," replied Boeree who slid her cards forward.

Moneymaker showed A♦J♥ as he raked in the pot.

Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.

In the 21st episode, Connor speaks with Survivor legend Boston Rob, aka Rob Mariano, about growing up near Fenway Park, learning poker at the age of 6, studying psychology at Boston University, applying for Survivor and winning Season 22, his recent appearance on Deal or No Deal Island and filming an upcoming season of The Traitors.

Boston Rob also revealed a story about Costa Rican authorities raiding a mansion known to host high-stakes poker games during a 2006 filming that included Daniel Negreanu, Josh Arieh, David Williams, Michael Mizrachi and actress Cheryl Hines.

"(Gambling mogul) Calvin (Ayre) had a big party at the house, and they came in guns drawn," he said. "And we were fine, but we all had to stay at the party until they checked our passports and everything. I think it was a little bit of a shakedown. But we had a good weekend."

Addamo checked on the flop of 2♠10♠7♥ and Minko checked back. Addamo then checked on the 6♦ turn and Minko again checked.

Addamo then put out an overbet of 6,500,000 on the 7♣ river and Minko went in the tank before calling with ace-high and seeing the bad news.

A completed board of K♣6♣3♣J♠Q♦ was spread across the felt with roughly 10,000,000 in the pot already. Matthew Belcher checked from the big blind and Pablo Melogno announced all in as the big stack in middle position.

Belcher wasted little time before calling off his stack of 9,400,000 and Melogno tabled 9♦4♦ for complete air. Belcher whipped over K♠Q♣ for two pair and earned a double up.

Rokita checked and called after Wang continued for 1,000,000. Both players then checked through the 3♣ turn.

The dealer flipped over the 9♦ river and Rokita led out for 4,000,000. Wang slid a time bank card to the dealer before opting to let his hand go, as Rokita took down the pot.
