The six remaining players are on a 60-minute dinner break.
In the last hand before the dinner break, Jaouad Abida raised almost four times the big blind from under the guy. Jean Montury three-bet shoved around 600,000 from the small blind and Abida instantly called.
Jean Montury:
Jaouad Abida:
The Moroccan railbirds exploded again to see their champion in another favorable spot, and Abida would continue his amazing heater as the board ran out to send Montury packing in 7th. The French pro collected 156,000 MAD for his accomplishment.

Kalidou Sow has slipped below the 1M mark after losing another pot to his nemesis Jaouad Abida. Sow called a raise on the button and a continuation bet of 250,000 on a flop, leaving himself with 700,000 behind.
Abida shoved it in on the turn and Sow folded his hand.

Jaouad Abida raised to 200,000 in middle position, Sebastien Boyard three-bet shoved 365,000 one seat over and Kalidou Sow cold-called from the big blind.
Abida could reopen the action if he desired and the Moroccan did by coming over the top, putting Sow to the test for his remaining 1,100,000 as well. The Frenchman opted against calling and open-folded pocket tens.
Sebastien Boyard:
Jaouad Abida:
Although it was a strong laydown, hindsight turned out to be 20/20 as Sow would've flopped a set on . Instead, it was Abida in the lead and Boyard who was drawing to the gutshot along with his overcard. Neither the turn nor river would help him and he finished in 8th place.

It's all about Jaouad Abida at the moment as the last remaining hometown player got himself involved in another big pot. It was Ramon Sol who had defended his big blind earlier after Abida had raised.
On the turn, the board read and there was around 900,000 in the middle. Sol checked, Abida overbet shoved for 1,175,000 and Sol called it off after some thought.
Jaouad Abida:
Ramon Sol:
Sol had plenty of outs to send Abida packing but the wasn't one of them, and the Moroccan crowd loudly celebrated the double-up.
Left with 970,000 in chips, Sol got it in the very next hand in a blind on blind confrontation with Kalidou Sow.

Kalidou Sow:
This time, it was the Spanish crowd who could cheer their vamoses as Sol's tens remained ahead on .

The hand before, Jaouad Abida dragged around 500k from Kalidou Sow after value betting two streets on an ace-high board. In the subsequent hand, Francois Tosques open-shoved 1,090,000 on the button and Abida called from the small blind.
Sebastien Boyard, with 370,000 behind, appeared to have a big decision but ultimately folded his hand.
Francois Tosques:
Jaouad Abida:
Tosques pumped his fist when he saw he had live cards. As if expected, everything he needed came in on a board for a big double.
