Van der Werf Holds With Kings

Niveau 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Alex van der Werf
Alex van der Werf

Alex van der Werf was all in for his last 62,400 and at risk and said "I'm not going to lose with kings again!". Van der Werf had to hold against his opponent his {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} while holding {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} himself.

The board ran out {3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Van der Werf locked up a big double up.

Marco Rodrigues
Marco Rodrigues

With about 23,000 in the middle and a complete board of {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} it was Jacco van Hooren with a bet of 19,000. Day 1a chip leader Marco Rodrigues had a decision to make and folded his hand after a couple of minutes.

Van Hooren didn't show anything, except for a little smile when he heard Rodrigues say he folded an ace.

Paque Takes From Radoja

Niveau 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Kevin Paque
Kevin Paque

Kevin Paque raised from late position to 4,500 and Mark Radoja called from one seat over. Zeus Post also called from the big blind.

The flop came down {3-Spades}{A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and all three players checked. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and Paque bet 9,000 after Post checked to him. Two-time bracelet winner Radoja called and Post got out of the way.

The {3-Diamonds} made the board complete and Paque fired away with a bet of 35,000. Radoja called within seconds and he saw Paque had the better hand with {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. Radoja splashed his chips in the middle to complete the amount he had to call and threw his {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} accidentally in the dealer tray.

More Eliminations, Including Siman

Niveau 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Roseline Siman made Day 2 by surviving Day 1b with a stack of 7,700. She wasn't happy with that and chose to forfeit her stack by entering the final flight of the Main Event, Day 1c.

She ended up bagging 63,100 on Day 1c, but she didn't manage to make a run for the Main Event title as her run in the tournament has come to an end.

Van Wesemael Climbing

Niveau 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Sander van Wesemael
Sander van Wesemael

Sander van Wesemael was involved in a three-way pot with an all-in player. Van Wesemael, Jay Oosterbaan and another player all had 16,800 in the middle when the {5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop was dealt.

Oosterbaan checked on the flop, but Van Wesemael fired with a bet of 15,000. Oosterbaan thought about it and said that he would either shove or fold before he gave up the hand.

Van Wesemael immediately tabled {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and it was gonna be a tough task for his opponent with {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and van Wesemael crossed the 200,000 chip mark by winning that pot.

Auer Doubles Through Boyaciyan

Niveau 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Robert Auer
Robert Auer

Former Master Classics of Poker Main Event champion David Boyaciyan opened from the under the gun position to 4,500 and Austrian poker player Robert Auer three-bet all in for 29,800 two seats over. All other players got out of the way and Boyaciyan made the call.

Robert Auer: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
David Boyaciyan: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{J-Hearts} flop gave Auer a ton of extra outs, but the {2-Spades} wasn't very helpful for him. The river, on the other hand, was the {J-Clubs} and Auer took the pot down with his flush.
