Trauer Jams Into Merten

Niveau 4 : 200/500, 500 ante

A preflop raising war saw Pierre Trauer squeeze to 11,400 out of the small blind. Thomas Merten then made it 25,100 to go in the cutoff only for Trauer to move all-in. Both players held decent stacks and Merten went into the tank for more than three minutes. He then folded and claimed in table chat he let go of pocket jacks.

Achegsei Chips Up Further

Niveau 4 : 200/500, 500 ante

On the tail end of a heads-up hand between Antonio Artusa and Ahmad Achegsei, the latter bet the {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} river for 8,000. Artusa tanked for quite a while and eventually called. Achegsei rolled over the {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for kings and fours to claim the pot and jump above two times the starting stack.

Biehler Raises the Flop

Niveau 4 : 200/500, 500 ante

Klaus Biehler opened to 2,000 and earned three callers including Valon Olluri out of the big blind. The flop fell {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and the action checked to Biehler, who bet 3,000. Josef Huber called on the button and Olluri then check-raised to 7,300 in the big blind. Biehler reraised to 33,000 and that forced folds all around as Olluri mucked {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} face up.

Bendik Chips up in Showdown

Niveau 4 : 200/500, 500 ante

On the tail end of a hand between Jan Bendik in the small blind and Sharon Sade, the former checked on the {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades}{a-Spades} river. Sade bet 12,000 and Bendik mulled over his decision for a while before making the call. Sade rolled over the {j-Spades}{9-Spades} for a busted draw and Bendik won the pot with {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for queens and eights.

Bise Escapes From Elimination

Niveau 4 : 200/500, 500 ante
Emil Bise
Emil Bise

Carlo Savinelli was spotted on his way out of the tournament area and Emil Bise was on the brink to follow with a short stack. However, the WSOP bracelet winner and two time WSOPC ring champion then doubled for 18,600 against Victor Messika. The cards of the latter were mucked already as Bise's {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for queens full on the {q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} were the best hand.

Racek Doubles Through El Ghanim

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Three ways to the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop the action escalated when Danilo Donnini bet, Andrej Racek raised and Abd El Ghanim made it 21,000 to go. Donnini folded while Racek jammed and was called by El Ghanim.

Andrej Racek: {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Abd El Ghanim: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

El Ghanim was calling for hearts and then changed his mind on the {q-Diamonds} turn, asking for a king instead. Neither wish was granted as the {10-Clubs} river gave Racek a full house and the double for 37,700. "I folded queen ten," Donnini mentioned in table chat.

New Entries and Re-Entries

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Vasileios Tsaknis and Eyal Bensimhon were among the players to re-enter after firing the first bullet without success. Some other notables have only now appeared in the field.

Bensimhon Left With Crumbs

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

The cards of Eyal Bensimhon were already in the muck as he paid off the full double for Valerii Firstenko. It remains unclear what King's regular Bensimhon held but Firstenko had flopped a gutshot straight flush draw with {a-Spades}{5-Spades} and held the nuts when the board ran out {j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{k-Spades}.

Bensimhon was left with a fraction of the starting stack, which he may either spin up or take advantage of the re-entry option.
