Thomas Vass Eliminated in 13th Place (€11,934)

Niveau 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Thomas Vass

Aleksandar Tomovic raised for the second hand in a row, making it 180,000 to go with the {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} from the cutoff. Thomas Vass jammed for 795,000 in the big blind with the {4-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Tomovic snap-called.

The bubble for the €10,300 WSOP Europe Main Event ticket saw Vass in dire shape, as both suits were also covered.

There was no help for the Dane on the {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} board and Vass had to settle for €11,934.

Over on the feature table, Roman Chochola raised enough to put Albert Hoekendijk all-in via battle of the blinds. The Dutchman was at risk for 1.2 million and ahead.

Roman Chochola: {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Albert Hoekendijk: {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

Chochola improved on the {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop and the {8-Clubs} turn gave Hoekendijk an open-ender. However, the {3-Diamonds} river was a brick and the Dutchman left with the words "good luck".

Martin Paap Eliminated in 11th Place (€14,279)

Over on the outer table, Michael Ugucctoni had chipped up without showdown to pull ahead of Martin Paap. Both were then in the blinds and Paap opted to jam for what appeared to be around 1.4 million, which Ugucctoni called.

Martin Paap: {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Michael Ugucctoni: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Paap had a huge double draw on the {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} flop but came up blank on the {9-Diamonds} turn and {2-Hearts} river to bow out in 11th place. That comes with a payday of €14,279 and the €10,300 WSOPE Main Event ticket.

Over on the outer table, Ronnie Lemmens raised to 210,000 from under the gun and Ioannis Chaitas three-bet to 600,000 in the big blind. Lemmens then shoved and Chaitas called for around 2.8 million.

Ioannis Chaitas: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Ronnie Lemmens: {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

The headache of the Dutchman was clearly visible but he was marginally ahead with his mighty pair. That remained to be the case on the {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop, {5-Diamonds} turn and the {10-Hearts} river to let the final table bubble burst.

Lemmens Leads Final Nine in the WSOPC Main Event; Andrian Eyes Another Victory at King's

The final table of the 2022 World Series of Poker International Circuit €1,700 Main Event at the King's Resort in Rozvadov is set. Out of a field of 808 total entries, only nine hopefuls remain in contention for the lion's share of the €1,189,780 prize pool.

They have all locked up €17,369 for their efforts but all eyes are set on the top prize of €204,053 and the coveted WSOPC gold ring that comes along with it. Furthermore, the final nine have also locked up an entry ticket for the 2022 WSOP Europe Main Event at King's worth €10,350 as well.

After a late surge at the end of the night, Ronnie Lemmens topped the leaderboard with a stack of 7,950,000. The Dutchman was second in chips heading into Day 3 and burst the final table bubble after winning a flip against Ioannis Chaitas. Second in chips is Feyzullah Karaarslan (7,070,000) followed by King's regular Aleksandar Tomovic (6,500,000).

The trio atop has already established a small gap over the two medium stacks Claudio Di Giacomo and Roman Chochola. Also still in the mix are Do Tran, Simone Andrian, Sharon Sade and Michael Ugucctoni. For Andrian, it could be yet another victory in Europe's biggest poker arena after he won his maiden WSOP gold bracelet during the 2021 WSOPE a few months ago.

Among the Day 3 casualties were the WSOP bracelet winners Alessandro Pichierri, Dalibor Dula, Sergiu Covrig, and Albert Hoekendijk. The latter was the first player to secure the €10,300 entry for the WSOPE Main Event in late 2022 after Denmark's Thomas Vass was eliminated on the ticket bubble.

While Lemmens soared to the top of the leaderboard during the final stages of the day, Feyzullah Karaarslan built his stack early on and then won the largest pot of the day on the final three tables. Karaarslan caught Matteo Cirillo bluffing in a battle of the two chip leaders.

Josef Gulas was also among those to make the final three tables but depart soon after returning to the seats. The father of the 2021 WSOP Europe Main Event champion went out with a gutsy bluff as well, which set the stage for a frantic period of extraordinary all-in showdowns.

The action concluded with 21:56 minutes in level 27 with blinds of 50,000-100,000 and a running ante of 100,000. All nine finalists will return at 2pm local time on Tuesday, January 25, to determine a winner and the action is set to be streamed on the King's Resort Twitch and YouTube channels on a security delay of one hour.
