Berry Johnston, Champion WSOP 1986 et un des rares joueurs a avoir sa photo sur les murs, est membre du Poker Hall of Fame et en action aujourd'hui. Connu pour être un parfait gentleman, il avait joué un pot énorme contre T.J. Cloutier lors du Main Event, en 1985. Johnston avait A-K et Cloutier A-J. Cloutier avait trouvé un valet à la rivière pour sortir Johnston qui s'était élégamment levé pour annoncer à sa femme son élimination. Celle-ci, qui ne connaissait rien au poker, s'exclama "Oh parfait, je suis affamée. On peut aller manger, maintenant ?"
"OK, si c'est ce que tu veux," répondit Johnston.
Ce n'était finalement que justice que Johnston gagne l'année suivante.
