Niveau 31 : 150,000/300,000, 0 ante
Mark Darner
Mark Darner

Kevin Nomberto made it 800,000 on the button and Mark Darner three-bet jammed for 1,550,000 in the small blind.

Nomberto asked how much more it was and then called.

Nomberto: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Darner: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

The dealer spread out a board of {Q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Nomberto's nines held, leaving Darner with a payout slip for 14th-place finish.

"I mean, double-suited and a pair. I don't give a s***," Nomberto talked to himself after the hand.

Derrick Herron: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Herron had the preflop edge and Mizrachi needed help from the deck to survive. The board ran out {6-}{5-}{3-Hearts}{K-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Mizrachi took the pot with a straight to double up.

The 14 remaining players have been sent on a 60-minute dinner break.

A Big Setback for Mizrachi

Niveau 30 : 120,000/240,000, 0 ante

With about 750,000 in the pot and the board reading {K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, Sandeep Pulusani bet 310,000 from the small blind, Michael Mizrachi raised to 900,000 from the big blind, and Srinivas Balasubramanian reraised to 4.1 million from the button. Pulusani folded, and after some consideration, Mizrachi called.

The {Q-Diamonds} hit the river and Mizrachi quickly checked. Balasubramanian bet 4 million, and after some time in the tank, Mizrachi called. Balasubramanian quickly rolled over {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} for a set of eights, which was best against Mizrachi's {A-}{K-Clubs}{6-}{5-}, so he took the pot to leave the four-time bracelet winner with less than 2 big blinds.

In the next hand, Mizrachi's last 360,000 went in the middle preflop against Pulusani and Tim Andrew. Both live players checked all the way down the {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} board and Mizrachi flipped over {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} to triple up with sevens full.

Bingham Doubles Versus Arroyos

Niveau 30 : 120,000/240,000, 0 ante

Picked up on the flop of {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, Pete Arroyos checked to David Bingham who shoved for 825,000. Arroyos called, announcing a draw.

Arroyos had {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} but Bingham blocked some of his hearts with {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

The {4-Clubs} turn and {10-Diamonds} river stayed with Bingham and he doubled up.

Walton Cracks Aces

Niveau 30 : 120,000/240,000, 0 ante

Robert Cicchelli made it 675,000 in the hijack and Raymond Walton came along from the small blind.

Walton shoved his remaining 935,000 on the {5-Spades}{A-Spades}{K-Hearts} flop and Cicchelli snapped him off.

"I call. I flopped top set," Cicchelli said, turning up {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Walton, however, wasn't dead with {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a gutter and a flush draw. He filled right on the {9-Spades} turn and the {8-Diamonds} was a safe card for Walton's flush.

Magnus Martin
Magnus Martin

Action folded to Magnus Martin on the button and he raised. Derrick Herron three-bet from the small blind and the two players got stacks in the middle in a flurry of activity.

Magnus Martin: {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}
Derrick Herron: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Herron was ahead with his aces and Martin needed help from the deck to survive. The board ran out {J-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and Herron took the pot with an ace-high flush to end Martin's run in this event.

Randy Holland Eliminated in 16th Place ($5,609)

Niveau 30 : 120,000/240,000, 0 ante
Randy Holland
Randy Holland

Pete Arroyos limped from the first position and Mark Darner completed in the small blind. Randy Holland then potted out of the big and Arroyos snap-called. Darner escaped and Holland shoved his last 1,530,000 when the {Q-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{9-Clubs} hit the felt. Arroyos called.

Holland: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Arroyos: {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}

The {Q-Spades} turn gave Arroyos a full house and the {10-Diamonds} river card was the last one Holland would see in the tournament as he departed in 16th place while the rest of the table celebrated a pay jump.
