Gelencser Eliminates McNeil

Niveau 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Calen McNeil
Calen McNeil

Peter Gelencser opened to 4,100 from the hijack and Calen McNeil three-bet to 14,700. Gelencser made the call and the flop fell {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Gelencser checked and McNeil then moved all in for his remaining 35,500. Gelencser called and both players tabled their hands, McNeil tabled {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{6-Spades}{j-Clubs} for a pair of aces and Gelencser showed {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a pair of fives with a straight draw.

The turn was the {j-Hearts}, giving Gelencser two pair and McNeil would now need to improve to win. The river did not help McNeil as the {q-Spades} landed on the board. Gelencser took down the pot and sent the McNeil to the rail.
