Fayant Doubles Through Ramdin

Niveau 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

With about 60,000 chips already in the pot and the board reading {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{2-Clubs}, Jody Fayant got his stack in against Victor Ramdin. Both players were in middle position and Ramdin had the larger of the two stacks by 17,500.

Jody Fayant: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Victor Ramdin: {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-}

Fayant had the lead with his set of queens and Ramdin needed one of his draws to complete in order to win the pot. The {4-Diamonds} turn and {2-Diamonds} river were no help to Ramdin and he was left with 3.5 big blinds after Fayant took the pot to double up.

The next hand, Ramdin shoved from early position and Scott Clements called from the big blind.

Victor Ramdin: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Scott Clements: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}

Clements had the lead and Ramdin needed help from the deck to survive. The {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop paired Ramdin's ace and gave him the nut-flush draw, the {Q-Clubs} hit the turn to complete Ramdin's flush, the {3-Hearts} river changed nothing, and Ramdin took the pot to stay afloat.

Henderson Eliminates Nixon

Niveau 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Aaron Henderson
Aaron Henderson

There was already over 70,000 in the main pot on a board reading {10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. David Nixon moved all in for his last 58,000 and Aaron Henderson called. Nixon showed {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for trip twos but Henderson tabled {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades} for tens full of deuces.

"I'm drawing to just the deuce," said Nixon and the {3-Hearts} river card was no help. Henderson dragged in the pot and Nixon was sent to the rail.

Clements Chips Up Through Ramdin in Huge Pot

Niveau 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Scott Clements
Scott Clements

There was a massive pot of about 170,000 already in the middle and the completed board read {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. Victor Ramdin had the button and was facing a decision for 90,000 from Scott Clements, who was in the hijack. Ramdin went into the tank and ultimately called.

Clements tabled {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades} for the nut straight, Ramdin mucked, and Clements took the substantial pot to put his stack over the 600,000-chip mark.

"I had a set and diamonds on the turn," said Ramdin. "Pair the board or give me a diamond, shit!"

Xu Straightens Out Taylor on the River

Niveau 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
George Xu
George Xu

George Xu raised to 12,000 from late position and Darren Taylor called from the button. They went heads up to the {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop and Xu continued with a bet of 15,000. Taylor moved all in for 69,000, sending Xu deep into the tank for over two minutes.

Eventually a clock was called on Xu, and with just five seconds left to make his decision, he called.

George Xu: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Taylor: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

"I was hoping you didn't have a hand like that," Xu said as Taylor rolled over his ace-king with the nut flush draw. The turn was the {10-Spades} and Taylor was just one card away from the double-up, but the {k-Spades} hit the river. Xu improved to the nut straight on the river and Taylor was eliminated.

Wahba Folds to Greene

Niveau 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

There were 41,500 chips already in the middle and the board read {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{9-Diamonds} when we got to the table. Dave Greene was under the gun and bet 25,000 into his lone opponent, Mark Wahba, who was in the cutoff. Wahba called.

The turn brought the {8-Clubs} and Greene announced a pot-sized bet of 91,500. After some consideration, Wahba folded, and Greene showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} as the dealer pushed the pot his way.

Riess Doubles Through Clements

Niveau 16 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Ryan Riess and Scott Clements got all the chips in the middle on a flop of {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} with an existing pot of approximately 40,000.

Ryan Riess: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Scott Clements: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Riess had the lead with his aces but Clements had plenty of room to improve with a big wrap. The {4-Clubs} turn and {3-Spades} river changed nothing and Riess took the pot to double up.
