Small Win for Semin

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

The player under the gun raised and the action folded to Mikhail Semin in the small blind who made the call.

The flop fell {k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Semin check-called his opponent's bet. The turn {7-Hearts} brought the same action. On the river {q-Hearts}, Semin bet and his opponent called but quickly mucked his hand when Semin tabled {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

Short Stay for Keating

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Alex Keating came into the proceedings in level 8 which meant he would need to spin his stack up quickly to remain, but unfortunately for him, that was not the case.

Keating raised and saw both the blinds call which included Rex Clinkscales in the big blind. The flop fell {3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and both the blinds check-called his flop bet. There was a diamond card on the turn, and Keating was allowed to continue with the betting lead, the small blind folded, but Clinkscales raised and Keating called.

On the {j-Clubs} river, Clinkscales bet which was enough to put Keating all in, and the latter made the call to see Clinkscales had a flush with {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} to win the pot and send Keating to the rail.

Vieira Builds a Stack

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

After a first bet, a player three-bet and only Joao Vieira made the call. The flop came down {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and Vieira called another bet.

On the {10-Hearts} turn, the same action happened and the dealer revealed a {3-Clubs} on the river. This time, the first player checked and called a bet from Vieira. The Portuguese player tabled {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}, and was ahead of his opponent's {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. Vieira has now a stack around 12,200 chips.

Negreanu Left Short Then Doubles

Niveau 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Daniel Negreanu lost a big pot to leave him on just 1,500 but was able to find a near instant double-up.

In the first hand, Negreanu was in the big blind and raised after the player in the cutoff entered the pot. Negreanu's raise was called, and they went heads-up to a {2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop. Negreanu continued with the betting lead and was called, and his bet was called again on the {6-Diamonds} turn.

But on the {4-Spades} river, Negreanu was raised after he bet on the third street and contemplated his decision for a minute before making the call. His opponent tabled {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a full house, and the Canadian had to let his hand go into the muck, leaving him with just 1,500.

However, two hands later he raised from the button and the big blind called, and on the {7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{q-Hearts} flop Negreanu was put all in by his opponent and he called.

Daniel Negreanu: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Opponent: {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Turn: {5-Clubs}
River: {k-Diamonds}

Negreanu was ahead with a pair of nines, but his opponent had a lot of outs before the board bricked for the latter and six-time bracelet winner Negreanu was able to secure a full double-up.
