Tosoc Can Beat The Grinder

Niveau 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

When Michael Mizrachi gets going, he's as hard to stop as anybody in poker. The three-time Chip Reese Memorial Trophy winner has been piling up chips in the PLO event so far, but even "The Grinder" can sometimes lose a few pots.

Mizrachi was in a three-way pot when we picked up the action on the {8-Spades}{K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts} turn. Ryan Tosoc led out 5,000 in the small blind, earning a call from the big blind. Mizrachi, sitting two seats further, raised to 35,000. Only Tosoc stuck around, calling.

The river came {7-Clubs} and Tosoc checked to Mizrachi who fired another 30,000. Tosoc quickly called and turned up {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a rivered straight. Mizrachi double checked his hand and then threw it away.
