Jason Koon on Day 1
Jason Koon on Day 1

Matthias Eibinger raised to 40,000 from the cutoff, Jason Koon three-bet to 125,000 from the button, Eibinger four-bet to 333,000, Koon five-bet shoved for 1,264,000, and Eibinger called.

Koon showed {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, while Eibinger tabled {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

The board came down {Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, safe for Koon to double up.

As the chips were counted down, Eibinger held the exact same 1,264,000 that Koon did.

Aldemir Secures Small Double

Niveau 11 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Paul Volpe and Koray Aldemir were both short and in the small and big blind respectively. Volpe moved all in and after some consideration Aldemir called.

Koray Aldemir: {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Paul Volpe: {7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Aldemir was ahead, but would have to survive an anxious turn and river after Volpe flopped a flush draw on {2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and the river the {3-Diamonds} and Aldemir survived, doubling up to 370,000. Both players have sub-20 big blind stacks.

Schillhabel Doubles Through Muehloecker

Niveau 11 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Michael Kamran raised to 45,000 in the cutoff. Thomas Muehloecker called in the small blind and Stefan Schillhabel three-bet all in for 282,000 from the big blind. Kamran folded and Muehloecker made the call.

Thomas Muehloecker: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Stefan Schillhabel: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Muehloecker was in the worst possible shape, and he received no help on the {5-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts} run out and Schillhabel doubled up.

Fox Reclaims the Lead

Niveau 11 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Elio Fox
Elio Fox

Igor Kurganov raised to 45,000 from under the gun and was called by Elio Fox directly to his left, Thomas Muehloecker on the button, and Brian Rast in the big blind. The flop fell {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Rast checked to Kurganov who continued for 83,000. Fox made the call and both Muehloecker and Rast folded.

The turn brought the {q-Clubs} and both players checked the four-card straight board to the {3-Hearts} on the river. Kurganov checked again and Fox slid in a bet of 200,000. Kurganov check-raised all in for 673,000 and Fox gave it a brief thought before calling. Kurganov flipped over {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and Fox tabled {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for two pair. Kurganov headed to the rail and Fox stacked up the chip lead once again.

Jonathan Little
Jonathan Little

Andreas Eiler limped in the small blind and Jonathan Little checked his big blind.

Eiler bet 35,000 on the {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop. Little raised to 100,000 and Eiler moved all in. Little checked his cards and called for his remaining 500,000 or so chips.

Jonathan Little: {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Andreas Eiler: {7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

It was an action flop, with Little flopping two pair and Eiler both straight and flush draws. As it so happened, Eiler hit both, with the {8-Diamonds} coming on the turn. The river was the {4-Hearts} and Little was eliminated.

Davies Doubles Through Einhorn

Niveau 11 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

We didn't get the action, but Seth Davies was all in with {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} against the {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds} of David Einhorn. The board read {j-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and the dealer was counting out the 651,000 double up for Davies.

The two players swapped chip stacks, with Einhorn falling back to around the amount he started the day with.

Kenney Gets Some Back

Niveau 11 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

The flop read {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Bryn Kenney bet 135,000 from the small blind into a pot of around 250,000. Brian Green called from the button and the {a-Hearts} peeled off on the turn.

Kenney tossed in another bet of 130,000 and Green instantly called. The {6-Hearts} paired the board on the river and both players knuckled the table. Kenney turned over {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} while Green tabled {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Kenney's two pair was good enough to earn him the pot and climb back over two million chips.
