Ivan Schertzer had been slowly chipping down since players returned from dinner break, and had survived until the three-table redraw.

By seventh street Schertzer had made a nine, but was behind to the seven-six of Montgomery. Montgomery drew a and Schertzer needed an ace or a deuce to make a better seven. Unfortunately for him it was a and he was eliminated.
