Jeff Gross Adds to His Stack

Niveau 5 : 100/200, 50 ante
Jeff Gross
Jeff Gross

Jeff Gross has tripled up his chips from starting stack. He just took a pot now that he opened under the gun and got three callers behind and one from the big blind.

The flop was {j-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Gross continued for 700. Only one player called and the turn came the {5-Spades}. Gross barreled for 900 this time his opponent called again.

Finally, the river was a {j-Clubs}. The action went check-check and Gross turned over {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}, which beat his opponent's holding of {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

Puchkov Sends Hellmuth to the Rail

Niveau 5 : 100/200, 50 ante

The board showed {k-Spades}{5-Spades}{q-Hearts} and a player in early position bet 800. Phil Hellmuth called from the cutoff and so did Konstantin Puchkov on the button opponent.

The turn fell the {3-Diamonds} and action checked to Puchkov who then put in 3,500 and the initial raiser folded. Hellmuth called for his remaining 725 stack and the players were now heads-up and flipped over their hands.

Puchkov tabled {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for a flopped set and Hellmuth then showed {j-Spades}{7-Spades} for a flush draw. Hellmuth would fail to get there as the river came the {5-Hearts}, giving Puchkov quads and sending Hellmuth on his way.

Cheung Takes First Bounty

Niveau 5 : 100/200, 50 ante

There was an all-in in front for around 4,000 and Robert Cheung was the only player to call.

Robert Cheung: {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Cheung needed to hit and he found help straightaway on a {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop. The {9-Clubs} turn brought a possible flush draw but the {8-Diamonds} river locked it up for Cheung.

Leng Stays Alive with a Good River Card

Niveau 5 : 100/200, 50 ante

The board showed {4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Ryan Leng moved all in for his last 2,150 into a pot around 4,000. Valentin Vornicu called him and the players flipped over their hands.

Leng tabled {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a straight draw with a flush draw and Vornicu was in a good position when he flipped over {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for a higher flush draw, as well as the current best hand with king high.

The turn was of no help to anyone as the {7-Hearts} hit the felt. The river came the {5-Spades} and Leng hit his straight draw. Leng took down the much-needed pot with his rivered straight.

Triple Up for Rudziankov

Niveau 5 : 100/200, 50 ante

Artur Rudziankov has just won a triple-up to keep him in the game. The bracelet winner was very short and moved in from middle position, getting calls from the two players to his left.

The flop came {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and the action went check-bet-fold, leaving Rudziankov heads up as they went to the turn.

Artur Rudziankov: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Opponent: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

It was a set versus top pair, putting Rudziankov in fantastic shape. It was all decided by the {2-Clubs} turn and the {k-Spades} river was meaningless. Rudziankov is back to around starting stack.

Barry Shulman just won a flip for his tournament life. He got it in with {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} against {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and hit a king on the river on a {8-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} board to stay in the game.
