Luske Solves the Problem

Niveau 2 : 50/100, 0 ante
Marcel Luske
Marcel Luske

Picking up the action on the {3-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} turn, Mike Matusow was leading out, firing 600 into 950 out of the big blind. Two seats further, Marcel Luske potted it.

"How much do you have there?" Matusow asked. Luske looked at his chips and sorted them by denomination.

"Actually, I have a problem here. I'm running out of chips," Luske analysed his stack. He had 5,200 total.

Matusow eventually threw in his full stack, covering Luske what look had left. Luske called right away, turning up {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

Matusow didn't even expose his hand as he was apparently drawing dead. The {5-Clubs} river sealed the deal for Luske, and Matusow's hand went face down into the muck.

Bowker Keeps Betting

Kyle Bowker

Four players saw a flop of {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Kyle Bowker bet 500 from the small blind. All three of his opponents called.

The turn brought the {7-Diamonds} and Bowker bet again, 2,600 this time. A player in middle position called, the hijack folded, and the button called.

The {J-Hearts} hit the river and Bowker bet 3,000. Both of his opponents folded and he took the pot.

Bach Wins Three-Quarters

Niveau 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

On the river with the board showing {6-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, David Bach and his opponent both had 2,200 already in front of them. They got the rest of their chips in and Bach turned up {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for a nut flush and nut low. Bach's opponent ended up quartered as he showed {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} for the nut low, but his straight was no match to Bach's high hand.

Bach took a half of his opponent's stack plus half of the chips in the middle of the table, adding well over 3,000 to his total.

Final Tablemates Meet Again

Niveau 1 : 25/50, 0 ante
Jon Turner
Jon Turner

Last week, Peter Neff and Jon Turner made it to the final table in the $1,500 Mixed Omaha event. Neff finished in sixth place and Turner followed him to the rail in fifth. Neff and Turner are now battling each other again as the table draw put them together at Table #24. They have a common hand history sample with each other now, so we might see if that will influence the action here in the PLO hi-lo event.

No Jackpot for Boatman

Niveau 1 : 25/50, 0 ante
Barny Boatman
Barny Boatman

Barny Boatman made it 150 from second position and the action folded to Barry Greenstein who defended his big blind with a call.

The flop fell {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{A-Spades} and after Greenstein checked, Boatman bet the max and Greenstein called to see the {3-Spades} turn hit the felt. Both players checked, and they skipped betting on the {Q-Diamonds} river as well.

Boatman opened {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, but Greenstein had a better kicker to his own ace, beating Boatman with {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades}.

"King of hearts on the river for the jackpot," Boatman said with a smile as he bricked his Royal Flush draw.

Five-way to the {Q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} turn, small blind Joseph Ebanks led out 300. Brian Hastings, sitting under the gun, countered with a raise to 900. All of his remaining opponents laid their hands down and Ebanks followed suit, leaving the pot to Hastings.

Early Pot for Engel

Niveau 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

There were what looked like 1,800 chips in the middle and the complete {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{K-Clubs} board was out when we got to the table. Both blinds checked to Ari Engel, and after some consideration, he checked behind. Engel tabled {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Spades} for aces and jacks and his hand was good enough to win the pot.
