Julien Martini: {X-}{X-} / {2-}{K-}{8-}
Frank Kassela: {X-}{X-} / {2-}{3-}{4-}

Julien Martini completed with a deuce and Frank Kassela called with a deuce, while Calvin Anderson folded a six. Kassela bet fourth, fifth, and sixth, and Martini called all in after fifth. Below is what they ended up with in showdown.

Julien Martini: {4-}{3-} / {2-}{K-}{8-}{7-}
Frank Kassela: {J-}{5-} / {2-}{3-}{4-}{Q-}

Martini needed some help as Kassela had a wheel draw and improved to an eight-seven after sixth, while Kassela caught a queen. Kassela spiked an {8-} at the very end for the superior eight-five, while Martini ended up pairing his {3-} to bow out in third place for $134,587.

Heads-up play between Anderson and Kassela will commence shortly with a solid lead for Anderson.

Day 3 of Event #56: $10,000 Razz Championship began with 13 players remaining from the field of 119 players. After 11 levels of action, Calvin Anderson and Frank Kassela still remain.

Anderson has more than a 3-to-1 lead, holding 4,585,000 to Kassela's 1,370,000. While Kassela has only 4.5 big bets compared to Anderson's 15, this heads-up match has shown both players resiliency as the chip lead changed numerous times over the course of their nearly five-hour duel. Up top is a first-place prize of $309,220, while the runner-up will receive $191,111.

Anderson began the day as the chip leader and prior to heads-up action, it was smooth sailing for him. He began the official final table as chip leader and began heads-up play with the chip lead. What ensued was a lengthy heads-up battle with Kassela, who started the day eighth in chips.

In the first level of play Kassela, more than tripled his stack and continued to chip up nicely after that to begin the official final table on Anderson's heels in second place.

The players who came up just short of the final table were Allen Kessler (9th - $25,664), Ismael Bojang (10th - $25,664), Paul Volpe (11th - $21,059), Eric Rodawig (12th - $21,059) and Ted Forrest (13th - $17,706).
