Jenkins Triples with Kings

Niveau 26 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

We arrived when all cards were lying face up on the felt and it became apparent that Robert Jenkins won a three-way all-in, holding {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} versus Thai Ha's {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and another player's {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}.

A low board secured the pot to Jenkins who vaulted to 4 million while Ha was left with crumbs.

Duff Sends Two Players Home

Niveau 25 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

One player moved all in for 220,000 and another moved all in for 600,000. James Duff moved all in for 1,100,000 and it folded to the big blind who tanked before folding.

Player 1: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Player 2: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
James Duff: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

"No jack," said the big blind, who said he folded {j-}{j-}.

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{q-Clubs} with Duff making top set and sending two players to the rail.

Fakhimi Sends One Out

Niveau 25 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Shawn Fakhimi raise-called all in from early position and his opponent was in trouble as he ran with {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} into Fakhimi's {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}.

More importantly, the {9-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop gave only a small chance for a bad beat and Fakhimi took it down after the {9-Spades} and {8-Hearts}.

Vazquez Moves Over Four Million

Niveau 25 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Vazquez raised and another player moved all in. Vazquez called.

Luis Vazquez: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
All-in player: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Vazquez looked resigned to double up his opponent for around 900,000, but the flop {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds} gave him an open-ended straight draw.

"Seven?" he requested. "Or a diamond?"

The turn was the {2-Diamonds}.

"Now the seven of diamonds," he said.

The river was the {q-Hearts}, however, completing his straight draw and sending his opponent to the rail.

Break

Niveau 24 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

After a whirlwind three levels, just 170 players remain from the 527 that started Day 2 of The Giant. The players are now going on a 15-minute break.

Friedman Shows the Ace of Spades

Niveau 24 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

We picked up the action on the river reading {2-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{7-Spades} with almost 2 million already in the middle of the table. Sandy Friedman was in early position, pushing all in for his last 695,000.

The action was on Thai Ha, who was on the button with roughly 2.5 million left. Ha studied the board and then started his investigation.

"What do you think I have?" he asked.

"Doesn't matter," Friedman replied.

Ha then released his hand and Friedman raked in the juicy pot.

"Show the bluff!" Ha still tried to get some information.

Friedman peeled one of his cards and turned up the {A-Spades}.
