WSOP Extending Late Registration

Niveau 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

The structure sheet for this event details late registration open through to the end of Level 6 (approximately 9:45 p.m.), but the WSOP have decided to alter this today.

Keeping with the uniformity of other $1,500 buy-in events having eight levels of late registration, the WSOP decided that this event shouldn't be unique, but should follows the structure of other $1,500 buy-in events.

Consequently, late registration has now been extended through the completion of Level 8, and the break — approximately 12 a.m. (PDT).

The {6-Spades} turn and {4-Hearts} river completed the board, no help to Seidel, locking up the pot for his opponent.

The player under the gun raised all in for 1,400, the next player to act reraised to 4,000, Robert Mizrachi called from the hijack, and Benny Glaser called from the small blind.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs} and action checked to Mizrachi who bet 9,000. Glaser thought for about 90 seconds before he folded, and the early-position player folded as well.

"Not much," said Mizrachi who showed {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for draws, while the all-in player showed {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}.

The {3-Hearts} turn and {K-Hearts} river completed the board, giving the all-in player the pot with kings and treys. Mizrachi, meanwhile, won the sidepot.

Appleman Busts, Hoeppner Doubles Two

Niveau 6 : 200/400, 0 ante
Mickey Appleman

Following a limp, James Hoeppner limped behind before Mickey Appleman raised all in for his last 1,350 from the hijack. With the action on the button, he raised pot to 5,450.

The first limper pushed in his 5,650, and after some consideration, Hoeppner plonked in a stack of yellow 1,000-denomination chips for a reraise to 20,400. The button obliged for his 10,300 total in chips.

Hoeppner: {K-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Appleman: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Button: {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Limper: {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The dealer spread a {Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} board and the first limper would secure the bounty of Appleman, along with ensuring a triple to 17,000.

Hoeppner would double two players, and in the process, drop to under 20,000 in chips.

Wong Hits the Rail

Niveau 6 : 200/400, 0 ante
Danny Wong
Danny Wong

On a flop of {2-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} with roughly 8,000 in the middle, one player moved all in for 7,700, and Danny Wong called all in for his last 7,100 as the third player in the hand folded.

Wong: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}

Wong was against bottom set, but had a draw to diamonds or a king to stay alive.

The dealer produced the {J-Clubs} on the turn, and with Wong down to one out, he would see the {5-Spades} roll off on the river to be eliminated from the tournament.
