Eric Hicks: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}

Yaroshevskyy Eliminates Colpoys

Niveau 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Colpoys shoved from the under-the-gun position for 38,000 in total and so did Igor Yaroshevskyy who was next up to act. Action folded to Nitesh Rawtani in the big blind who tanked. He asked for a count and the dealer confirmed Yaroshevskyy had 219,000 in front of him. After a while, Rawtani folded.

Daniel Colpoys: {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Igor Yaroshevskyy: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{q-Hearts} to give Yaroshevskyy a set of eights on the turn to bust Colpoys from the tournament.

Czuczor Falls to Zhang

Niveau 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Marton Czuczor became the second player who hit the rail today. On a {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} board, Czuczor's stack went in against Chi Zhang, and the Hungarian was drawing dead on the spot.

Marton Czuczor: {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Chi Zhang: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The meaningless river was the {5-Spades} and Czuczor went off to collect $9,747.

Who Will Walk Away with $485,082 and the Gold WSOP Bracelet Tonight?

Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

At noon local time, Event #71: $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em (30-minute levels) will welcome back the 39 remaining players to the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. They are all guaranteed at least $9,747 but will all be eyeing that first-place prize of $485,082 and the much lusted after gold WSOP bracelet.

Jonathan Abdellatif took the overnight chip lead with 754,000 in chips. Abdellatif will be looking to improve on a fourth-place finish here this summer. Second in the chip counts is Markus Gonsalves with 722,000 who reached a final table in an online tournament and will want to do even better in a live environment. Closing out the top three is Chance Kornuth (622,000) who just won his second bracelet this summer and probably wouldn’t mind adding another one to his collection with one in this event.

Other notable players to keep an eye on include Paul Hoefer (579,000), Liv Boeree (534,000), Steven Wolansky (498,000), Matt Glantz (473,000), Phil Hellmuth (468,000), Antoine Saout (410,000), Chi Zhang (331,000), and Eric Hicks (316,000) have all bagged an above average stack.

Players like Jimmy Guerrero, Griffin Benger, Grayson Ramage, Mohsin Virani, Koray Aldemir, Petar Kalev, Igor Yaroshevskyy, Oliver Weis, Ajay Chabra, Jeremy Ausmus, Anthony Zinno, Darryll Fish, Aliaksei Boika, Daniel Colpoys, Davidi Kitai, and Gregory Kolo all have some work to do as they were left with a below average stack at the end of last night.

When the players return, they will play Level 21 which features a small blind of 6,000, big blind of 12,000 and a running ante of 2,000. The expectation is that the action will hot and heavy and the PokerNews live reporting team will be there to bring you all the updates, so make sure to stick around!
