Kornuth on the River

Niveau 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

There was already a pot brewing when the board read {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. Chance Kornuth was facing a 100,000 bet from the big blind and called it after some thought.

The river was the {K-Diamonds} and the big blind checked. Kornuth bet 118,000 and his opponent folded after long thought.

"Show it!" he begged and Kornuth obliged by revealing {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a straight.

Dropping Like Flies

Niveau 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

As expected, with the bubble gone players are busting at a rapid pace with just 30-minute levels. One of those players was [Removed:17], who got his short stack all in with {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} against the {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} of Gary Hasson.

No help for Yan during the {3-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{K-Hearts} rundown and he finished in 65th place ($7,453)

Abdellatif Can't Shake Weis

Niveau 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

With the bubble in play, Jonathan Abdellatif bet 13,000 on an {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop and 27,000 on the {A-Spades} turn against Oliver Weis, who had defended his big blind. Weis called both flop and turn, and the {4-Spades} river got checked by both.

Weis showed {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and Abdellatif mucked.

Wong Doubles on Bubble

Niveau 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The player in late position raised to 21,000 and Ralph Wong called in the big blind.

The flop came {3-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}, Wong check-called the 21,000 continuation-bet of his opponent.

The turn brought them the {2-Clubs}, now Wong, check-called the 35,000 bet of his opponent.

The river completed the board with the {5-Hearts}, Wong checked for the last time. His opponent now put him all in and Wong tanked. The rest of the players all came over to check what was happening as they were the last active table. Wong tanked a bit longer, counted out his stack and then called for the 119,000 he still had in front of him.

Ralph Wong: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Late Position: {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Wong doubled up with the flopped set of queens.
