Hands #1-5: Volpe Takes Down the First Big Pot
Hand #1: Shaun Deeb raised to 140,000 from the cutoff and Bin Duan called from the small blind. Paul Volpe called as well from the big blind.
The flop came down and it checked to Deeb. The current number two on the Player of the Year Leaderboard bet 210,000 and Duan folded. Volpe called to see the turn.
The turn was the and Volpe checked to Deeb again. Deeb checked behind this time.
The river was the and Volpe led out this time with 460,000 and Deeb took another peek at his cards. Deeb counted out the bet and toyed a bit with the chips in his hand before making the call.
Volpe opened up for the absolute nuts and he took down the pot after Deeb mucked.
Hand #2: Volpe put John Andress all in from the small blind and Andress folded.
Hand #3: Duan called from the cutoff and big blind Scott Margerson checked. was the flop and Margerson checked. Duan bet 125,000 and that won him the pot.
Hand #4: Romain Lewis raised to 135,000 from the under the gun position and Shaun Deeb defended his big blind as the rest folded.
The flop was and Deeb checked to Lewis. Lewis fired a bet of 255,000 and that was enough to make Deeb fold as the Frenchman took down the pot.
Hand #5: It folded to Margerson on the button and he pushed all in. Both blinds folded and Margerson took down the pot.
