Ivey Barrels Three Streets

Niveau 1 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The action folded around to Matthew Siegal who just limped in from the small blind. Phil Ivey raised it up to 35,000 from the big blind and Siegal called. The flop fell {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Siegal check-called a bet of 35,000 from Ivey.

The turn brought the {q-Hearts} and Siegal checked again. Ivey tossed in another bet of 100,000 and Siegal still called. The {3-Hearts} landed on the river putting four hearts on the board and Siegal checked one more time. Ivey threw in a bet of 300,000 and Siegal finally sent his cards to the muck.

Vogelsang Bombs River

Niveau 1 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Catching action on the flop of {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, Christoph Vogelsang was first to act and he checked over to Jason Koon. Koon put out a bet of 60,000. Vogelsang thought for a good while then check-raised, making it 180,000. Koon thought for a bit himself then called.

Both players checked on the {9-Hearts} turn and the {2-Spades} came on the river. There, Vogelsang put out a larger bet of 425,000. Koon promptly folded so Vogelsang took down the pot.

Shakerchi Wins a Big One Early

Niveau 1 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Talal Shakerchi and David Einhorn wasted no time getting right into the action as they decided to play a big pot in the early going. The completed board read {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{3-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and the pot already had around 2,600,000 in the middle.

Einhorn checked from the small blind and Shakerchi tossed in a casual bet of 1,725,000. Einhorn quickly threw in one of his time extensions and used up one more before a decision would be made. He eventually slid his cards to the muck and Shakerchi raked in a healthy pot to begin the day.

Jack Effel Announces Shuffle Up and Deal in Big One for One Drop

Niveau 1 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jack Effel
Jack Effel

"This is a very special event," said Effel. "We're partners with the One Drop foundation and the reason why is because we feel very strongly about the fact that there is not enough clean drinking water around the world.

"When Antonion [Esfandiari] won in 2012, he visited El Salvador and I also went and visited the projects, so we know that the money goes directly to the projects and I know that the money helps a lot of people.

"I see the effects that the money has and it actually goes to the communities. I love to see the players have the opportunity to give something back.

"Everyone who participates is a very special person and we thank them for that."

Effel also announced that $525,000 had already been raised from the $1,111 Little One for One Drop. Every entry in the Big One will see $80,000 go directly to One Drop.

"These guys aren’t just playing for millions of dollars but they’re also playing for some neat jewellery," said Effel showing off the One Drop bracelet. "That's what it's all about. WSOP bracelets. Life-changing money. Life-changing opportunities, that’s what One Drop and this event is all about.

"Best of luck to these players; shuffle up and deal!"
