Hall Wins With Second Barrel

Niveau 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

A player on the button had what appeared to be a three-bet to 2,500 in front of him and was facing another raise to 8,300 from big blind Galen Hall. That player called and they saw an {8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop. Hall tanked a couple of minutes and bet 5,800. His opponent called. On the {j-Spades} turn, Hall again tanked before betting 11,300. That induced a fold and Hall dragged the pot.

No Party for Owen Yet

Niveau 3 : 150/300, 25 ante
Adam Owen
Adam Owen

Adam Owen has dressed up for Independence Day and might be rocking the best outfit in the room. His stack trend, however, isn't in party mode as the colorful Brit is down to 17,950 in the third level of the day.

Owen lost some of his stack in a recent three-way pot. On a {2-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Hearts} board, Owen was in the small blind and bet 2,500. Two players in late position called, including Kenneth Barkoff on the button.

The river {K-Spades} got checked to Barkoff, who bet 6,200. Owen was the only caller and had to muck when Barkoff tabled a flush with {Q-Spades}{3-Spades}.

James Eliminated

Niveau 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

The board was reading {j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} with 5,000 already in the middle when Mesha James checked, followed by Timothy Jurkiewicz. Sixiao Li in the cutoff position bet 3,000 and after some thought, James pushed all in for her last 14,900. Jurkiewicz reshoved, putting Li's tournament at risk and the latter folded to create the following showdown:

Mesha James, {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Timothy Jurkiewicz, {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

James, who recently made the final table of $1,000 No Limit Hold'em - Ladies Championship (Event #57), was in bad shape for a double up and the {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs} turn and river brought her no help.

Timex Five-Bet Shoves

Niveau 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Mike McDonald was on the button and three-bet to 2,100 over a 625-raise from the hijack. A player in the big blind woke up with a cold four-bet to 7,200.

The action came back to McDonald who moved all in, covering his opponent who had about 23,500 behind.

"No matter what I do, it's wrong," the other player said, puzzled by the situation. Then, after over a minute, he folded, trying to convince McDonald to show his hand. McDonald, however, slowly sent his hand towards the dealer.
