Nick Jivkov
Nick Jivkov

Over the course of two days, a field of 2,808 entries in Event #37: $800 No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack has been whittled down to just 26 hopefuls. Dividing a prize pool just shy of $2 million, the big prizes are up for grabs today including the first-place prize of $297,537, as well as the accompanying WSOP gold bracelet.

All remaining players can already look back on a great tournament and have parlayed their initial investment of $800 into $9,789 already. Hamid Feiz will start the day from pole position, coming back with 12,000,000 in chips, or 60 big blinds when the players return at noon local time in Level 32 with blinds at 100,000/200,000 and a big blind ante of 200,000.

Bracelet winner Nick Jivkov, who won his maiden bracelet back in 2012 in a $1,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em event, returns in second place with 9,625,000 in chips. Kevin Song is the other player in the field who knows what it's like to win gold, and he'll continue his second bid from 5,500,000 chips, as is last year's $1,500 NLHE champ Benjamin Moon, who will resume with 3,425,000.

Live stream coverage of this event will pick up from 3 p.m. onwards on CBS All Access (PokerGO outside US/CA/AU) or when the final six has been reached. The PokerNews team will be on the floor wire-to-wire to bring the latest from the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino as another WSOP bracelet winner is crowned today!

Ghobrial Busts to Underwood

Niveau 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Danny Ghobrial
Danny Ghobrial

In a button versus big blind confrontation, Benjamin Underwood raised to 400,000, Danny Ghobrial three-bet to 1,225,000, Underwood four-bet shoved and Ghobrial called all in for around 3,500,000.

Danny Ghobrial: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Benjamin Underwood: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Ghobrial was at risk and behind and didn't catch up during the {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} rundown. Underwood, who was down to just one big blind earlier in the tournament after losing pocket aces to pocket eights, fully completed his remarkable comeback and sits pretty at 10 million.

In one of the first hands on the final two tables, Benjamin Underwood raised with {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, Jan Nakladal three-bet shoved for 2,100,000 from the big blind holding {a-Spades}{8-Spades}, and Underwood called.

The best hand held up during the rundown to end Nakladal's deep run in 18th place, worth $12,227.

After action folded around to Donald Maloney in the small blind, he shoved all in for his last remaining chips and was immediately called by Zachary Mullennix from his big blind.

Donald Maloney: {7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Zachary Mullennix: {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, which eliminated Maloney from the tournament, but earned him a $12,227 payday.

Preflop action folded around to Robert Mitchell, and he raised it up to 450,000. From the next seat over Jonathan Tamayo three-bet shoved all in, and Mitchell made the call.

Jonathan Tamayo: {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Robert Mitchell: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The {7-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades} runout offered no help to Tamayo, who was then sent to the rail after a very impressive run in the tournament.

Hamid Feiz Eliminated in 15th Place ($15,412)

Niveau 33 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Hamid Feiz
Hamid Feiz

Josh Boulton raised first to act and received calls from Robert Mitchell and Hamid Feiz in the blinds. The flop came down {q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and both blinds checked to Boulton, who continued for 600,000. Mitchell called, as did Feiz.

On the {5-Clubs} turn, Mitchell checked and Feiz opted to lead for 1,000,000. Boulton quickly got out of the way, but Mitchell stuck around for another street.

The {8-Spades} river saw another check from Mitchell and Feiz bet 1,500,000 this time. Mitchell let out an audible sigh, then inquired how much Feiz played in total. After around a minute, he check-raised all in and Feiz immediately called it off for around 3,500,000.

Mitchell showed him {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for a king-high flush and Feiz, despite technically needing to show his hand, mucked it instead. Just like that, the start-of-the-day chip leader was gone in 15th place.

Kevin Song Eliminated in 14th Place ($15,412)

Kevin Song

After Benjamin raised it to 650,000 from the cutoff, Marco Bognanni then three-bet to 1,700,000. The small blind got out of the way and Kevin Song then four-bet shoved all in, which got a quick fold from Moon. Bognanni asked for a count, which the dealer confirmed, and he made the call.

Kevin Song: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Marco Bognanni: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}

Song was in a race for his tournament life, which he looked to win after the dealer spread a flop of {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. The {3-Spades} turn kept Song in the lead, but the {4-Diamonds} river meant Song would have to wait until another day to win a second bracelet.

When preflop action folded around to Casey Campbell in late position, he decided to shove the last of his chips into the middle of the felt. Unfortunately for Campbell Joshua Boulton woke up with a big hand in the big blind and made the call.

Casey Campbell: {a-}{4-}
Joshua Boulton: {a-}{k-}

The board ran out {3-}{9-}{8-}{5-}{k-}, which meant that Campbell's deep tournament run had come to an end.

After everyone folded to him, Alberto Ortiz moved all in for 4,650,000 from the small blind. Axel Hallay briefly checked how much it was, but followed up with the call not much later.

Alberto Ortiz: {j-Spades}{9-Spades}
Axel Hallay: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The {k-Spades} flopped in the window, followed by the {a-Clubs} and the {6-Clubs} to give Hallay a massive head start in the hand. The board ran out {8-Clubs} {3-Clubs} to improve him further to a flush, making Ortiz the 12th place finisher.

Christopher Csik Eliminated in 11th Place ($19,601)

Christopher Csik

Christopher Csik raised it up and saw everyone fold to Robert Mitchell in the big blind. Mitchell three-bet shoved all in and Csik called it off for around 8 million to create the biggest pot of the tournament thus far.

Christopher Csik: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Robert Mitchell: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Csik won a big coin flip against Phil Ivey late on Day 2, but in an even bigger flip he'd come up short. It was the ace that came for Mitchell on {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, improving his hand to the winner and leaving Csik with nothing more than an 11th place finish.
