Vasconcelos Takes From Miles

Niveau 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Timothy Miles called the pre-flop raise from Carlos Vasconcelos. The flop was the {2-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and the action went check-check.

The turn was the {8-Hearts}. Vasconcelos bet 75,000 and Miles called. The river was the {q-Diamonds}, Vasconcelos checked and Miles checked behind.

Vasconcelos showed {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} which was more than enough to take the pot.

Csik Eliminates Ivey in Coin Flip

Niveau 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Chris Csik raised from the hijack to 125,000 and Phil Ivey piled all in for his remaining 1,205,000 from the cutoff. It folded back around the Csik who thought long and hard over the decision.

A sizable rail formed in the corner of the Pavilion to watch Csik stew over the decision, getting their chance to possibly witness the fate of Ivey.

After a couple of minutes, Csik told the table that they better call the clock on him, one player at the table obliged his request and called clock. The floor came over and announced thirty seconds, but before reaching the countdown Csik tossed in a stack to make the call.

It was a classic race for the 10-time bracelet winner's tournament life:

Ivey {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Csik {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The flop immediately hit Csik when it came the {a-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} much to the disappointment of the rail that had formed. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and the river was the {6-Clubs} to seal Ivey's elimination after a deep run.

Hallay Doubles Through Ortiz Such

Niveau 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Alberto Ortiz Such raised to 125,000 from the hijack, which was met by a three-bet shove from Axel Hallay from the cutoff. The player on the button then asked for a count, which was confirmed to be 780,000 total. He thought for about 30 seconds and folded, and when the action got back around to Ortiz Such he made the call.

Axel Hallay: {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Albert Ortiz Such: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Hallay won his race by flopping a set and turning a full house after the board ran out {9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Liberta Takes Some From Mullennix

Niveau 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

After Zachary Mullennix, one of the current big stacks, raised from middle position, Joseph Liberta then re-raised all in from the button and was called by Mullennix.

Joseph Liberta: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Zachary Mullennix: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

The flop of {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} was a good one for Liberta, but he had a sweat when the dealer fanned the {q-Diamonds} on the turn. The {2-Clubs} river brought him quick relief and put a slight dent in Mullennix's stack.
